Why are you arguing about a bracket you claim you haven't even played in recently? Either you're an idiot or you're too scared to tell us who your 19 is.
I'm arguing about something that affects all brackets at some point or another, and 19s used to be one of the more enjoyable brackets I played in. Recently, I leveled all my 19s out and on to other brackets. The last time I played any of them @ 19 was prior to MoP release. Back then, the same stuff was going on, and activity was dwindling. People were moving on to other brackets or quitting altogether. So to answer your question, my efforts here are because I still care about the 19 bracket, even if I don't play in it atm. I would LOVE to have a reason to come back, but that's 100% dependent on the quality of games. I'm not going to waste my time playing in a bracket where people just don't give a shit about quality.
Communication is important. Those who choose to deny the use or importance of it deserve to suffer. Also communicating essential and relevant information takes time, effort and thought which only further proves higher cognitive function.
Most people begin saying their first words by 18 months of age. By 18 years of age, they've said enough words to fill a library. Telling someone you're going to CC or focus a target is not hard. It's not complicated. There's no degree of difficulty there. It doesn't take any more cognitive function than what a toddler uses to say their first words. Higher cognitive function is learning a second language, composing music, learning an instrument, studying a discipline, or creating art. Communication in Wow pvp is glorified Baby talk.
Does it make a difference? Yes, but only because Wow is designed to be a group/team oriented game where you have to work together to achieve a common goal. However, verbal communication is not 100% necessary, and players who learn what to do can still perform rather well as a group without getting in voice chat. The crucial factor of 19s and the graveyard farming dilemma, isn't so much verbal communication, as it is the group queuing.
Random WSG queues are designed to accommodate people solo queuing into a group pvp activity, where players of all skill levels are being randomly selected for battle. When you group queue you are intentionally removing that random element from the queuing system. You're basically fixing each game in your favor, then telling the other team to 'suck it up and try harder,' knowing full well that no matter how hard they try, the most likely will not ever overcome the disadvantage group queuing creates, unless they group queue themselves.
To be honest if someone doesn't have the mental tenacity to get over being farmed at GY and sits around complaining how in theory it's a bad idea and causes them to quit, good.
Most people don't complain, they just stop queuing and go find a better bracket to play. I only bring it up because you have a bad habit of attacking players on the forums about how they are inferior to you for whatever reason you pull out of your ass. To be perfectly honest, the ONLY reason you even have the opportunity to GY farm another team is because those players showed up to play in the first place. They GAVE you the opportunity to engage in unsportsmanlike conduct, and you took advantage of it.
But what happens when no one shows up to give you that opportunity? You keep clinging to this notion that they will one day just get better and counter your GY farm. Well what if they don't? What if instead, they realize that you're just exploiting their weakness for your own personal gain, under the guise of 'keeping things competitive,' and then just refuse to let you have a shot at games at all?
How are you going to play your dear 19s if you can't even get 20 people together for a game pop? At some point you're going to have to show some shred of decency and altruism towards better games in order to get activity again. Maybe then you will learn why group queuing is bad for any bracket, and abandon such a silly activity.
The irony being that I'm the one who's arguing for Quality games that everyone can enjoy, while you're arguing to keep things one sided, completely dismissing anyone who can't 'outsmart' your GY farming. I'm sorry, but Mike Tyson taking on a 12 yr old isn't a quality fight, no matter how you spin it, and that's what you're advocating here.
