This is an updated compendium of Best in Slot gear for Free To Play 20 Twinks. I will do my best to include as many Best in Slot (BiS) gear sets as I can. At the least you will find BiS Character Builders (CharDev's) for Battlegrounds (BG's), Non-BGs (duels, arenas, world PvP) and Max Hit Rating (hit).

I feel you. That's why the titles for sections are "Hunter-H" or "Hunter-A" depending on whether you are Horde or Alliance. Just hit CTRL or Command + F and look up the section by "Class-First Initial of Faction" and you will find what you are looking for. Sub-sections, you can find on your own. Don't be lazy.
Is this the definitive guide for BiS?
Answer: I like to think so, but I'm not God and I'm not always right. If you think I'm wrong please post and explain why you think something else should be BiS. If you convince me, I'll change my BiS to what you claim is BiS, with an edited version of your explanation (and of course it will be credited). It's not enough to say "STAMINAZ BETST" - you need to actually defend your position.
Why should I listen to you?
You don't have to. For all you know, I'm awful. I will say that I have played this bracket from the first day it was introduced (I was in the original AP group when it was just ~11 of us) and I have been on multiple "Best of" lists on every class except warrior albeit often under different names.
Again, that's not to say that I'm perfect or that I'm right. This is just what I think is BiS and I noticed a lack of any BiS lists so I'm taking the time to create something I want.
This is taking forever to update. What gives?
What looks easy on the front-end is not nearly as easy to do on the back-end. I have to research everything and confirm it for myself (whether it be on live or talking to people I know are very good at their class). Not only that, but making these posts takes forever and is tedious. All those links, colors, fonts etc. take time!
Hang in there, it'll get updated eventually.

Explanation: Critical Strike Rating (crit) is currently the strongest stat for free to play hunters in Mists of Pandaria. If we accept this to be true (it is) then most of the gear choices make sense. I choose to pick [Arena Grand Master] over [Inherited Mark of Tyranny] (IMT). This is a matter of preference. If you have a healer (in arena) it is better to go with IMT over AGM. If, however, you do not have a healer (World PvP, duels), the stamina of AGM is preferable.
The difficult part of choosing BiS for a non-BG hunter is choosing the correct bracer/ring combination. Let's review.
You have a few Ring Choices here: [[Stendel's Wedding Band], [Ring of Precision] (ROP), [Signet of Argas] (SoA), [Citizen Wilkes' Ring], [Dread Pirate Ring] (DPR) , [Stillwater's Signet], [Legionnaire's Band] and [Blood Ring].
And you have a few bracer choices as well: [Drakewing Bands] (DWB), [Black Wolf Bracers] (BWB), [Bands of Serra'kis].
You only need 6 Hit Rating to cap at 3% for non-BGs. We already accepted that crit is the #1 stat for 20 Hunters. That means that we want to maximize crit, not agility or stamina. We can safely remove most of the rings and Bands of Serrakis from this list. That leaves DWB (which perfectly caps us at 6 hit) and two rings that don't have hit OR RoP + DPR and BWB.
If we choose DWB, then it seems clear what our ring choices are: SoA + something that maximizes crit. Our choices are Stillwater's Signet (4 Stamina, 3 Crit), Dread Pirate Ring (3 Stamina, 5 Crit, 3 Hit) or Stendel's Bane (5 Crit). We can knock Stendel's out of the race, DPR has the same crit but more stamina. Stillwater's fall as well, 1 stamina vs 2 crit? Definitely 2 crit. DPR is now our ring of choice in both scenarios. So now we realize we are really deciding between DWB + SoA or RoP + BWB. DWB + SoA leaves our net stat line at 6 Agility, 6 Stamina and 9 Hit Rating (3 Hit Rating Over) + DPR. Meanwhile RoP + BWB gives us 9 Agility 4 Stamina, 3 Critical Strike Rating and 6 Hit Rating. Clearly we choose the latter.
BGs

Explanation: We are still going with crit, but this time around we have to deal with gear scaling. I choose (again) to pick [Arena Grand Master] over [Inherited Mark of Tyranny] (IMT). This is because stamina matters a lot more in today's BGs (one shotty rogues, massive damage all around). I also feel that IHMT is only good if you have a guaranteed healer which doesn't happen in BGs.
You're going with [Hogger's Trousers] for the massive hit rating. [Feet of the Lynx] scale better than their counterparts so we're going with that here.
That leaves you with 3 hit needed to cap. You have two choices here, [Ring of Precision] (ROP) and [Dread Pirate Ring] (DPR). You're combining one of these with [Signet of Argas] (SoA). I chose to go with DPR, the 5 Crit and 3 Stamina is better than the 6 agility in a BG (scaled etc.).
