Right guys, i sadly do not have the time to keep this thread updated.

If anyone is interested in taking over i will be glad to pass it up and sticky it.

I offered to take it over, and here we are!

*****************

-----------------------------------------

Picking your race.

Some races have more benefits then others when it comes to PvE. I will list them in order of what i personally think is most beneficial.

-----------------------------------------

The main DPS races would be:

Orc: The main Orc racial is Blood Fury, this increases attack and spellpower for 15 seconds. You also get damage dealt by pets increased by 5%, Expertise with Fist Weapons, Axes and Two-Handed Axes increased by 3 and Duration of Stun effects reduced by an additional 15%.

Troll: The main Troll racial is Berserking, this increases attack and casting speed by 20% for 10 seconds. You also get 1% crit with bows, 10% health regeneration in combat and 5% increased damage done to Beasts.

-----------------------------------------

The main Healing races would be:

Blood Elf: The main Blood Elf racial is a Small AoE Silence that gives you either: 6% mana, 15 rage, 15 energi, 15 focus or 15 runic power.

Gnome: The main Gnome racial is a passiv 5% increased mana pool.

Human: The main Human racial is a passiv 3% increased Spirit.

-----------------------------------------

The main Tanking races would be:

Tauren: The main racial is a passiv 5% base health increase.

Night Elf: The main racials are a passive 2% chance that melee and range attacks will miss you, and a 1% reduced nature damage taken.

Draenei: The main racial can heal a target for 20% of their total health over 15 sec.

-----------------------------------------

Professions:

Jewelcrafting: The jewelcrafting benefit comes from having three improved Wrath of the Lich King gems.

Leatherworking: The leatherworking benefit comes from three improved bracers enchants, 130 attack power, 76 spell power and 102 stamina, and two leg enchants, 75 attack power 18 critial strike rating and 55 stamina 22 agility.

Mining: The mining benefit comes from having a passive stamina buff given from toughness improving your stamina by 60.

Skinning: The skinning benefit comes from having master of anatomy giving you a 40 critial strike passive benefit.

Tailoring: The tailoring benefit comes from having two different cloak enchants that increase either attack power by 400 for 15 seconds or spell power by 295 for 15 seconds.

Alchemy: The alchemy benefit comes from having a re-usable flask that will not get consumed on use, flask of the north Increases your spell power by 47, attack power by 80, or Strength by 40 for 1 hour. This counts as both battle and guardian elixir. ( Though, you can get better flasks.)

Blacksmithing: The blacksmith benefit comes from being able to add a socket to your bracers and to your gloves, which results in two additional gem slot.

Enchanting: The enchanting benefit comes from having two ring enchants, giving you either 80 attack power 46 spell power or 60 stamina.

Engineering: The engineering benefit mainly comes from using Synapse Springs or Tazik Shocker, synapse gives you 480 points in your highest primary statistic, ie 480 strength, 480 agility or 480 intellect, while tazik shocker allows you to deal 4320 to 5280 Nature damage to an enemy at long range. ( Synapse Springs is far supperior to Tazik Shocker in PvE. )

Herbalism: The herbalism benefit comes from using lifeblood, that will increase your haste rating by 120 for 20 seconds.

Inscription: The inscription benefit comes from having several shoulder enchants that are more powerfull than the ones given by aldor and scryers, either 120 attack power and 15 critical strike rating, 70 spell power and 6 MP/5, 60 dodge rating and 15 parry rating or 70 spell power and 15 critical strike rating.

-----------------------------------------

SWP Patterns

Many of the SWP patterns that yield BoP items are BiS i will list those and what classes they are BiS for under.

http://www.wowhead.com/item=34359/

Shadow Priest, Balance Druid, Warlock and Mage.

Sunfire Robe - Item - World of Warcraft

Shadow Priest, Warlock and Mage.

Hard Khorium Choker - Item - World of Warcraft

Arms / Fury Warrior and Unholy / Frost Deathknight

Hard Khorium Battleplate - Item - World of Warcraft

Arms / Fury Warrior and Unholy / Frost Deathknight

http://www.wowhead.com/item=34373/

Hunter and Enhancment Shaman

Amulet of Flowing Life - Item - World of Warcraft

Holy Paladin, Holy / Discipline Priest, Restoration Shaman and Restoration Druid

-----------------------------------------

Tanks and Healers

I will not list healing BiS lists atleast not now, the reason is that I think healing gear is a lot up to personal preference, i.e how much spirit you want to stack, how much haste you want etc.

I will link tank lists tho, but they should be seen more as a base than actuall BiS lists for about the same reasons as mentioned above. Most people just stack pure stamina, I personally think that stacking stamina is mainly viable on Feral Druid because of Savage Defense. But each to their own.

Stickied, enjoy.

Very nice thread.

I took the liberty to update some of the chardevs with slight improvements regarding gem placement (to take advantage of the better socket bonuses), switched some trinkets to Blackened Naaru Sliver (while still maintaining hit and expertise cap) and activated some meta gems that had their color restrictions not met

TG Fury Warrior: http://chardev.org/?profile=302343

Feral DPS Druid: http://chardev.org/?profile=302344

Enhancement Shaman: http://chardev.org/?profile=302345

Combat Rogue: http://chardev.org/?profile=302346

Unholy DK: http://chardev.org/?profile=302347

Frost DK (DW): http://chardev.org/?profile=302348

I did actually miss the trinket on Unholy DK one, the rest were just downgrades including your unholy one if we count out the trinket. Before you post chardevs saying "my ones are better" do some research. For an example Chardev is bugged saying Relentless Earthsiege Diamond needs a yellow gem when in fact it doesn't!

Don't post if you don't know what you are talking about, which you obviosly don't. TY

How is that so, considering you're the one who posted chardevs with inactive meta gems and subpar item and gem placement choices?

I don't claim to have the ideal setups either but it would be nice if you were to elaborate on what could be improved so we can reach an actual bis for each spec

Damn, you qouted me while i was still annoyed, before i edited my post

Regarding the Feral Druid dps chardev, 20 Agi to gloves would be better overall.

0.52% crit would outweigh the 3 AP loss (plus it would scale with buffs).

Regards.

Hmm i did it for rogue, shaman and hunter, don't know why i forgot to do it for the feral druid chardev. Updated : D

its all good, i'm was just trying to help and i'm sorry if the builds i posted aren't actual improvements but i'd like you to explain why exactly, in cases like Cloak of Darkness vs Vengeance Wrap for STR dps and Barrel-Blade Longrifle vs Blade of Life's Inevitability for Warriors.

Also, according to wowhead and thottbot Relentless Earthsiege Diamond still requires a yellow gem, i can't log on to wow right now to check ingame though

I did check ingame just to make sure when i first read your post and it does NOT require a yellow gem.

http://www.wowhead.com/item=24259 vs. http://www.wowhead.com/item=33122/ (counting strength as attackpower)

92 attack power, 2 hit, 23 crit vs. 86 attack power, 24 crit

vengeance wrap is a clear winner.

------------------------------------------

http://www.wowhead.com/item=30724/ vs. http://www.wowhead.com/item=34349/

80 attack power vs. 76 attack power, 16 haste (Since 4.3 i think it was warrior no longer gain 1 attack power / agi. So you might be right on this one!)

92 attack power, 2 hit, 23 crit vs. 86 attack power, 24 crit

vengeance wrap is a clear winner.

Keep in mind though, that Warriors gain 5% bonus strength from Plate Specialization and 5% from BoK/MotW (which you will likely have in actual ingame PvE situations), making the AP bonus from http://www.wowhead.com/item=33122/ (43+4.3)*2= 94.6

The difference is even more accentuated for DKs as they get a 15% strength mod from Rune of the Fallen Crusader procs, and an extra 4% if they are frost and 25% if they are unholy, in addition to Plate Specialization and BoK/MotW making the Cloak of Darkness way better than Vengeance Wrap

Sounds reasonable, i did originally have Cloak of darkness but later changed it Vengeance Wrap possible a little to quickly. I'll update!

I have checked two chardeves right next to eachother giving them both kings.

http://www.wowhead.com/item=30724/ vs. http://www.wowhead.com/item=34349/

0.70% crit 8 attack power vs. ~1% haste

Barrel Blade rifle just appears to be superior to Blade of life's Inventable.

I see the destro lock chardev is changed compared to the one you made for me, is that due to my Sunfire Robes and tailoring cloak enchant or did u just find that better? Very Nice thread tho :-D

I can't decide lol
<

22 spellpower vs. 2% haste

Buffed: Both are over 30% haste thresh hold for an extra immolate tick, 22 spellpower does scale better then the haste with buffs, reviewing the facts makes it obvoius that the spell power Chardev wins so yeah, the one i made for you is better and i'll update
<

I don't understand why the balance druid neck is 1 which gives resil. Why not use the neck 'brooch of the highborne' as is used for resto druid?
