  • I haven't made this monk yet, but I plan on doing so when my account is done upgrading (damn 48 hour waiting time). :p
What would need to be changed to make this gear set "best in slot"? Thanks!

    Head:
    Preened Tribal War Feathers

    Neck:
    Thick Bronze Necklace

    Shoulders:
    Lasting Feralheart Spaulders

    Back:
    Ancient Bloodmoon Cloak (+70 armor)

    Chest:
    Preened Ironfeather Breastplate (+100 health)

    Wrist:
    Mindthrust Bracers (+15 spell power)

    Hands:
    Serpentis' Gloves (+16 spell power)

    Waist:
    Keller's Girdle

    Legs:
    Preened Wildfeather Leggings (+16 armor)

    Feet:
    Spidersilk Boots (minor speed)

    Finger#1:
    Seal of Argas

    Finger#2:
    Garrosh's Pardon

    Trinket#1:
    Arena Grand Master

    Trinket#2:
    Discerning Eye of the Beast

    Weapon:
Dignified Headmaster's Charge (30 spell power)

I don't know anything about monks but 2 obvious upgrades would be garrosh pardon to argas, +5 resistances to cloak (If you happen to have a boa cloak with that enchant, that is), kellers girdle to haste satchel belt probably.

Keller's Girdle hasn't been useful since like BC unfortunately
I'd take Brilliant Necklace over Thick Bronze Necklace but that's just me.
    requires level 20..?

yeah i def think cloth helm is better with crit/ haste.

damn i wish MW could DW.

These are the things I'd change in that setup (assuming this is a BM DPS build):

    - Tumultuous Cloak of the Bandit
    - 4 stats to chest
    - Foreman's Gloves (second option would be Gloves of the Fang)
    - Legionnaire's Band as Ring #2
    - PvP trinket as one of the trinket slots (unless you're human)
    - BoA mace/sword in MH with 15 agi, BoA mace in OH with 15 agi

As far as trinkets go, wouldn't the same apply if I was undead? Don't they have the same racial as humans? Thank you for the advice. I especially am pleased with the changes to the weapons. Now I don't have to farm for the boa staff! lol

Human - Every Man for Himself - Spell - World of Warcraft

Undead - Will of the Forsaken - Spell - World of Warcraft

As you can see, the human racial completely replaces the PvP trinket, whereas the undead racial does not, because it only applies to fears (relative to 19's). You can use the undead racial to get out of a fear and shortly thereafter (once the shared cooldown has expired) you can use your PvP trinket to get out of something else (or vice versa).

I actually like that better! Thank you for the clarification.

One more question for now, does the ability Tiger's Lust share a cool down with the pvp trinket? It's wicked awesome if it doesn't!

I highly doubt that it shares a cooldown with the PvP trinket.

I'm just going to ask here since it would be silly to make a new thread for it... What professions would you recommend for a dps brewmaster? Is engineering worth it for the stun bombs?

Up to you, if you're actually going to use the bombs on a regular basis. My personal suggestion would be Herbalism and Skinning.
