Many of us GF twinks have 4+ items for most slots, we switch these around as we see fit, different items may be "BiS" for diff situations, and i, for one dont pay any attention to what gear im logged out in. you don't know what gear is in someone's bag from armory link.
I dont consider my hunter to be missing anything except ally GF minor channeling ring, and some "manipulate a GM items" like bounty hunter bracers and the 3 crit belt.
some items are only BiS for a certain stat or application. For example i have GF orcish battle bow, which is the fastest ranged weapon for a haste twink. but do i use it regularly? no of course not...

I also have that and even in my Haste set don't use it because the dmg is too low. And I as well have multiple items for just about every slot and use them as needed which is why if we made a BiS list it would be absurdly long as you would almost have to break it down by Class > spec > situation(s).
A BiS is when you have every piece for a your type of play, and there's no piece better in any slot.
So guys when you say im BiS besides faction change gear, YOUR NOT condisered BiS lol
i dont mean to be a ****, But BiS means Best In Slot, & if you dont have the gear you need from the other faction that is better then what you have now.
You are not Best In Slot. Just saying, however if you dont have GF'd items but faction gear you are BiS because you cannot get the item which means you
do have the Best In Slot item.

I see what your saying, & yes technically people who do not have GF'd geared isnt BiS.
But i say they are BiS for the simple fact that we do not have a choice to get these GF'd item anymore.
Hence the Grandfathered part, Plus its not fair to the people who did pay the extra 15 or 30 bucks to be not considered BiS

BiS is Best In Slot. Logically,it means, BEST,Not second or third best, it means BEST, THE BEST equipment you can get FOR EVERY SLOT of your gear.
Means both factions, means GF or not.
On the other hand, BiS Without GF isn't possible, but we can consider Available BiS. Yet a real BiS will have better piece then the Available BiS.
That said. BiS is BiS. Stop calling people BiS, when they'reusing Green BoE mail legs.

yea but with a healer its all about lasting as long as you can while ur dps kill the other ppl the fc dps shouldnt matter shuld be 100% hp/damage reduc
I am ilevel 30 in partial Gf'ed gear. It's not a bis set though
. But I do have BiS crit, haste, agility (AP), Stam. Almost BiS hit.
The piece I really miss is my Crystalforged trinket - ilevel 115 - now requires lvl 70 to equip.

I would love it if someone could point out a useful piece I am missing - other than the Dwarven Tree Chopper. . .or the Kalu'ak fishing pole which are both pretty close to useless for a Hunter (very situational.)
Perhaps trading my Crescent Staff (+25 agi) for a Wingblade (+15 agi) would be a better choice since the staff is really useless now for hunters.
Some pretty unique gear: Maurading belt - quest in quest log, Bounty Hunter Bracers "completed kimbra boots quest" which allowed for a gear change. Dread Pirate Ring.

I just have a missmash of gear on atm - Threw on the clothie pants too
- definitely not BiS. I was trying to figure out what gear I had to equip to reach my supposed ilevel 30. 29 atm - /head bonk.*I have +7 agi on the Silver embossed boots. +7 stam on the Clean Room Boots. Minor Speed increase and +5 hit on embossed boots.
if the weapon has over 5 dps higher than the resil wep, it means kill their o faster, and if you have heals dedicated to healing you, you wouldn't need that 6% damage reduc
As an Arena/end game raid healer I can say that endersgame is correct. A "tank" whether in PvE or as an FC in BGs main priority is not to die. Bamfcow would benifit more (if he has a pocket healer with him) from added Resil than a tiny amount of added damage output. The 12 Dodge he has on that cloak also does him little good as FC compared to 5 resists which would be far better when most of the enemy would be behind him attacking as he's running to base. Now he probably DOES have those items (resil weapon, cloak with 5 resist, and probably also the resil trink). As someone else noted what a toon is logged out in isn't necessarily what all they have in their bags. But 5 weapon dmg means absolutely nothing compared to the survivability that resil gives.
Also, it's been proven by EJ that Crusader has a slightly higher value than Lifestealing. The other obvious benefit of Crusader is that when it procs (in a Prot spec) you gain Block/Parry for the duration, which obv doesn't help from behind but it's still nice.
