US Been away for 2 years. A couple questions

Nope. Sounds like a contribution waiting to be made though, if you're up to testing and retesting and keeping it updated patch to patch and xpac to xpac
Nvm found one on the Veterans tab. Thanks tho.
Do have another question tho. How do i tell what item level my gear scales up to in a BG?
I have an item level 26 shoulders from a dungeon and my item level 25 BoA shoulders but i seen on the forum that the BoA ones scale up to ilevel 34 but theres no way for me to tell in a BG. Do i need an addon for this?

If I get my engineering to 225 and make http://www.wowhead.com/item=10542 if I unlearn it. Will I still be able to use it if I never unequip it? Also is there any thread out there that shows all the available consumables, enchants and toys you can use in BGs? If so. Can someone link them please
(It’s been confirmed that Black Magic enchant doesn’t work btw)

black magic does work btw

nearly laughed out loud when i read you say it was confirmed

Gear scaling in bgs isn't a thing anymore. You literally just need to fill every slot with an appropriate piece of gear.

The only way to get a stat advantage is to have an average ilvl of 35 or higher. This isn't possible on a shaman that doesn't have grandfathered gear.

I'm unsure how many more times we can say it but literally, gear doesn't matter. You're gonna have the same stats as everyone else.

Just run dungeons until you're rocking ilvl 26 gear in every slot. It's that easy.

Yeah, the scaling thing is from a past expansion. Things don't scale anymore.

How about this - link the armories of any toons you're gearing and we'll take a quick look and let you know if theres anything majorly wrong. As Chops said - (ilvl) gear basically doesn't matter. Especially given the upcoming pre-patch and BfA expansion that will shake things up, theres little point to grinding gear for little (or at 20, probably no) advantage.

The main things we'd be looking for are having something in each slot, using the right armor type, and using the right category of weapon.

I actually had the wrong enchant on lol
Just got it for both my weapons and it works. But not sure if having it on both really matters. Seems to be procing just as much as just on one weapon with testing.

and tysm. my armory is https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/tichondrius/greasy
I think im just missing the wrist piece and the fishing trinkets. Are the ilevel 28 weapons better than the BoA ones?

So you're at ilvl 35, and the base ilvl for the 20-29 bracket is 34. So right now you have .01% bonus stats, and since those are whole numbers, means probably no stat gain. You've got all mail and the right category of weapons. You are basically at 99% of the same stats as the BiS folks. You can get ilvl 26 shoulders, the ilvl 28 wrist, and engineering (better) and fishing (best) trinkets.

You can also get the stonetalon mountain gear - which I believe is a headpiece that isn't as good as yours, and shoulders/wrists that are good.

But again, this is all changing soon. So don't feel too obligated to grind for that last 1%, as it *might* be 1 agility. Focus instead on doing random dungeons (and leaving the bags unopened until pre-patch) and leveling fishing/cooking if you want.

So you hit the ilvl 35 break point. The next break point is average ilvl 40. I'm 100% certain you cant get there, even with the fishing trinkets. Which means that while the ilvl 28 weapons are technically better than the BoA, in practice theyre exactly the same.

The only thing I can suggest is work on the ilvl 26 shoulder and ilvl 28 bracers (as well as cloak, neck, rings and weapons) that have versatility. The ONLY reason for this is the next xpac seems to want to incentivize world pvp and vers is by far and away the best stat for that and the random white gear wont count in world pvp (also because its highly likely that white gear all gets ilvl nerfed OR becomes uncounted for instanced pvp and you wanna be prepared for that)

What breakpoint is at 40? Do you have the enhance template numbers?

Stonetalon Wrists are 1 ilvl below blue crate until Bfa when it will be 1 above.

If I have time to log on when Im home ill supply some pictures of 20 enha numbers

He will still gain health at every ilvl past 34 even if he doesn't score any agility points.

Hmmm. I guess 29 stam is higher than I thought. I gotta look at my 20...

So first of, I had to wait awhile for a bg this early and after that I wanted to get out of the way pretty quickly since I haven't played 20 enha since early mists. So with my 90 seconds I tried to move some items around and while I Couldn't test it all the way since I don't have bis, and didn't get to every individual ilvl either but heres some stats.

While there appears to be no difference before 36, 37 got an extra armor point and going for 39.87 there was a 2 point stam gain aswell as a point of agility. So @Chops could be correct that agi break point is at 39.51, @necroaqua

so is it even worth the time/effort into getting the ilvl a fraction higher for such a small improvement ?

It's something to do I guess but no it doesn't matter but why not if you can reach the breakpoint is my current stance. But gearing for ilvl only to reach 33 or something like that I won't do.

If you're going from 34 to 35, sure. We're twinks. Going to great lengths for one extra Stam is kinda what we do.

But going from 26 to 27 doesn't actually change anything. If you can't hit the break point (which I remember being 35 and then every 5 ilvls after that, but I could very well be wrong) then it doesn't matter.

And I'm not an expert but I THINK only rogues and clothies can push 35 without grandfathered gear

Breakpoint is 34 so 35 is first ilvl you could see a difference on anything.
