US Been away for 2 years. A couple questions

I have 2 accounts. One that is purely F2P and the other with 24-29 twinks.
Is this bracket dead now? I downloaded the F2Paddon and not one person was online in AP. Also, if you have an account and join a guild then your monthly subscription stops, are you still able to talk in the guild?
Is the a thread with the BiS classes and specs that are somewhat up to date? Because I couldn’t find any. Please link if there is.
Arenas are pretty new to me in this bracket. Are they taken serious at all, like the BGs are?

20-29s are far from dead, in fact with BFA coming up some people are making a return. HOWEVER, when BFA hits it sounds like there might be more bracket diversity. Might have people playing more than one bracket or might move completely out a the "normal" bracket your use to seeing them play in Legion.

The bracket isnt dead at all. Blizz merged xp off and xp on players back together, so 20-29 gets regular, quick pops any day of the week. The community just drifted to Discord instead of the f2p addon

If you're a 20? yes. In fact, I think if you have a higher level toon in the guild, any new toons you create can be invited to the guild even if your subscription is out.

You dont need one, which is why one hasnt been maintained. Blizzard went to a stat template system in instanced PvP. So all you have to do is get a piece of gear (of the proper type) in every slot and youll have the same stats as every other person in the BG thats the same spec as you. All arms warriors are the same, all disc priests, all boomkins, etc.

So you can just hit 20, run dungeons until you've got gear in every slot and you're good to go. If you're a clothie, youll need to get the engineering goggles (alliance) or the cloth helm quest rewards from Stonetalon Mountains (horde only) to fill the helm slot but thats the only piece that cant be gotten from dungeons.

I mean, yea. But getting groups and chatting (discord does have text chat) is no more difficult now than it was. Just a different venue.

And youre right about gear. At least as far as instanced pvp is concerned. If youre gonna world pvp (and it looks like world pvp will be incentivized in bfa) youll still want to have the best gear available, which is whatever has the most versatility. Conveniently, those pieces are typically found by running dungeons and doing BGs (winning a bg rewards gear that has a small chance of being ilvl 28... and a smaller chance of having a versatility suffix)

And another item http://www.wowhead.com/item=82879 that is item level 18 with strength, stamina, crit and versatility. These two iteams in a PvP instance will be exactly the same stats? Even tho the item levels are different and one has versatility?

1. Aerie Peak has still some players. Not the sames than before, but I know there are still people playing on it.

2. The F2P community is both on XPoff and Discord. Discord may be for voice chat or text chat. But the lvl20 community uses it mainly for text chat.

Right now.
Yes and no they won't give stats. You will be rewarded with stats from the template for having bracers, be they level 5 whites or most trusted dont matter aslong as they are the correct armor type for your class

For what its worth, go ahead and wait till youre lvl 20 to get those, so theyll be ilvl 26 when you get them (oh hey, gear now also scales depending on what level you are when you get it) because things change and you might as well have the best gear available even if gear doesnt matter right now

Its simple really.....this late in legion its pointless. Save every piece of gear and wait for BfA to drop.

Currently the difference between ilvl27 and ilvl43....2 stamina 1 armor. Que up and worry about gear in a couple months

Gearing seems super simple now and doesn't make twinking to satisfying anymore. Still love this bracket and to PvP tho.

Was curious about the enchanting and trinkets. Are they worthless too?

There is an ilvl ceiling for each bracket that you need to penetrate to gained anything from ilvls.

The enchant can proc off spells. For some reason it is the only enchant to currently work in BGs. At 19 it gives 1 haste rating, which is nowhere near the 20 haste mentioned. I doubt it will much different at 20 (its also not available F2P AFAIK).
