But Blizz is quick to fix things now and I'm sure they have probably cleaned up the mess. Including voiding all current grand-fathered twink gems by turning them red and gaining no stat benefit.
Yeah, I just had my gems stripped off of my Shaman and ate a 48 hour suspension.
I'm shocked at this. Usually they just tack on "requires level 60" or something to the item (in this case gems) and then that's that. Back in the day when this kind of thing was more prevalent, I never received a ban or suspension. And there used to be some insane exploits...
For instance, there was a crazy leg kit exploit for twinks involving the leg kits like 55 stam and 22 agi or w.e (it's been a while). You got on your level 80 with the pair of green boe pants you wanted for your twink toon. You would put the leg kit on the pants and the pants would bind to you. But you could then unbind them and send to your twink! You would basically kill yourself over and over until the boe pants became zero durability. Then you log off and back on, and the pants are now BOE once again and the enchant "seems" to be missing. So you mail these pants to your twink right. You then grab them from the mail and they are broken and "appear" to not have the leg kit enchant. Before equipping them, you repair ALL. Then you log off and back on and the leg kit enchant re-appears on your pants and voila. Sounds crazy I know but this worked flawlessly.
I don't ever remember even knowing someone getting banned or suspended doing batshit crazy things like this (including myself). Blizzard never really slapped anyone on the wrist when it came to twink exploits. It would seem their attitude has changed if they are indeed handing out 48 hr suspensions for this new gemming fad.
First of all,is it possible a f2p to make post without vitriol? Secondly, I finally got somewhat of an answer after asking for two weeks. It is a f2p choice to play in this "wildly" unbalance bracket. As I see it as a trial we[ have many choices. Play in the 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, hit the upgrade button, keep moaning as a f2p or stop moaning as a f2p. Would you like a little cheese with your whine? The choice is all yours.

Who are you, Dr. Phil? Thanks, but I don't need some random to tell me how to think.
Simply because he/she does not have a lot of posts does not necessarily mean they are a random. It just means that when they post their posts are that much important since they don't produce as many meaningless ones as the large count posters. Or they could be like me and have an old alias from the old twinkinfo site, who knows. Speak softly and carry a big stick is my motto.
It's not an issue.

In my opinion, you should be glad it's World of Warcraft. In other mmorpgs that I've played, you could get permabanned for abusing a glitch enough.f2p - 24 community sucks, too many children leeching because their parents stopped paying - anyway -
I think many can agree that the word "twink" means striving to get the best gear possible, and to have every advantage etc.
Anyone remember the durability exploit back in Wrath? nobody gave a cats toe about it, in my opinion exploits should be abused, they are fun, I think personally the f2p community should stop crying all over this gemming business, they're not even paying for this game anyway.
I can't list them all so I will just list a few, WSG jumps, wall glitches, using a higher level toon to get lower toons to get into raids, trials getting DKs, trials using glitches to get into Strathholm, old way to get arcanums, using a higher level toon to put leg armor on your legs, using skinning/herbing glitch, the mining glitch and the list goes on and on. All these items are what twinking is ALL about. None of these are or were bad. So why all of a sudden is gemming bad? Is it because a small portion of the player base chooses not to pay? They have the same option as everyone else to pay, they just chose not to. I myself don't gem, I don't care if someone gems. It is all part of the game to me. So, for the fifth time, where is my explanation why gems are bad and other exploits are not? And don't say because trials can't use them, because they have that option and don't say because other exploits don't "hurt" people? Remember, zero tolerance, right?

(i) Using or exploiting errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or "program bugs" to gain access that is otherwise not available, or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players;
Old news, Gemming is done and over with. Beating on a dead horse. On that note popular gemmers were never banned or suspended.
