Battle of the Servers: introduction

So i haz an idea, I want to create a tournament for f2p severs. So tell me what you think, this is my idea so far:

  • 10 players (discuss with your servers)
  • Best out of three Warsong Game
  • Maximum Healers : 3
  • No more than 2 of each class
  • This tournament ( if enough servers want to participate) will take place at an all low pop server
  • The tournament will be all pre boa
  • You will have 3 weeks to lv, gear, and do proffessions

THIS IS A FRIENDLY COMPETITION, NO EMOTES IN THE BATTLEGROUND.
Also: I've searched threads for a similar ideas and nothing came up
I will see how many severs will want to participate, talk with your fellow sever buddies and see which players will compete.
The server who wins the tournament will be Given the title for example : Vashj The Victorious ( i dont know post a better titlte )
So that is my idea tell me what you think and talk over with your sever if they want to participate all severs are welcome.

I understand you saying no more than one hunter, but you should say no more than two of each class because people will only stack the next most powerful class.

Something like five avenger shield while the flag carrier defense is stunned comes to mind.

ok i fixed it there will be no more than 2 of the same class

Not really fair for the Horde if they can't their hands on LFH and Ally just uses Rogues. This idea is just stupid.

I was thinking we can make just make it one faction to make it fair so everyone can get the same equipment

However, how do you plan to organize this? Wargame BGs at 20 still don't work, right? While I haven't tried in 5.3., I had indeed heard a rumor that with 5.2 they'd would become possible, but we tested it and it still required XP unlocked, which trials cannot do.

If it needs to be done by the tedious simultaneous queueing with delay for the faction with shorter queues process that at least made AP faction premades possible (if time-intensive), rerolling doesn't really serve a purpose. :(


Edit: for some reason the above post hadn't loaded for me yet. D: Reply sort of still fits; to my knowledge the same faction method would not work at 20. :( We did do BG wargames with XP on 19 F2Ps with same gear, but that project sadly came to a standstill with not enough people online regularly. :(

Great Idea, just, from what I've seen, this community doesn't handle "competition" very well. Good luck though!

I didn't know about the problem with the wargames, thanks for telling me, really appreciate it :). I'll try and figure something out, ill update this thread once i found a solution.

Heya there Yde !
The F2Ps just need any guy to inv them into a group and they can do arena , but there is thomething that is needed , LEADERS MUST BE FROM THE SAME REALM .

If we do it has to be a hunter free event. Last time horde had about 10 more ranged dps, and just stomped alliance into the ground.

Also a full 10man for most servers besides ap would be nearly impossible. But if your server can pull 10 people then jd suggest trying to schedule some world pvp.

What the servers can do to get 10 people is to talk over who will be in the tournament. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to organize this all if you guys do want to participate.
