Balancing free WoW with free WAR

i dont think you use your origin login

you use an EA account to login to the warhammer website, which then allows you to make a WAR Trial account

you login to the game client using the WAR Trial account details

AV will never happen. It's too complicated for new players.

Only thing that might actually have a chance of happening is EotS. But AB/WSG is enough atm.

if you play in a web browser like chrome i believe so, but there is a downloadable client that makes it alot less laggy and does not need java
 
YOYO im struggling with the patcher / updater. i created a trial account over 2x years ago, have brewmasters backpack and shoulders etc.. dont particularly want to reroll a new account..
can anyone give me any help? it wont let me log in at all.. even though i can access the account through the mythic account management thing?! haha

i'm lvl6 on european servers, it's pretty good, i like it.
there are event "similar" to what gw2 will bring, cooperative event though the zones.
 
The 8h lockout is just to prevent you from switching factions whenever you feel like it.

If you've just played a Destruction toon, then you're stuck playing that faction for 8 hours before you can access a Order toon.

Did you roll on Badlands? Roll on Order. My toon is named Swagpurse.

Are you playing on european servers? I don't remember my server, i took the first one, english language. I'll try the US server if the lag is ok, must test this.

I am lvl 7 and i like the game so far. This is the second time i try the game but last time i played (that was long ago, can't remember), my pc setup wasn't able to run the game! I'm playing a shaman, it's really similar to the priest class in wow.

This game is great (i tried Rift, i had 1 month and i hated it, didn't played more than a few hours).

- RvR is a special zone on the map when you fight to get posessions of the land? Battleground are something else, right (instanced like in wow)?
- there is no talent spec in the game? (if you want to be healer, switch to a +healing set? and same for dps)
- for scavenging and talisman making: for the mat (scavenging), do you run those world event to get the green or are there other way? (i noticed that if you do too well at those events, you won't be able to open your purse, lol).

Badlands is the trial US server. How was the latency for you?

As far as I understand (after playing it a few days):
- RvR is like world PVP that is constantly happening, you can go in to participate anytime, and there are always LOADS OF PEOPLE ... huge tug-of-war fights
- "Scenarios" are the equivalent of Battlegrounds, which are queued by using the red button next to your minimap. These are instanced and have scoreboards/etc.
- Scavenging works little like skinning in WoW. Kill a monster, loot them, THEN you can loot again to "scavenge" for the talisman mats. Only works on humanoid mobs, so it works in PVP as well.

any idea at what talisman making level you can make that +17 talisman?
I guess it's using a purple frament (i think i can make up to +12 at the moment, i'm lvl 70 at talisman making).

You can make a +17 talisman at 25 skill. I think you need to get the fragments.

Anyways I met a T1/R10 twink guild and they recruited me and funded me with gear... so i wont have to make my own talismans now.
 
this is great, so you can get mails, but just not send them.

i like the idea of crafting them myself, it's part of the fun of the game for me, and it's 10x better when you have no idea how everything is working.

is it possible to get 2x the pvp set - have one for heal, one for dps?
 
I've actually had several Endless Trial accounts for WAR for quite some time now. I enjoy it, cuz its fun to just log on and start playing in the RvR and/or do premades in the Scenarios (BGs). You can also invite as an endless trial player and I even have a guild on Destruction side, full of endless trial twinks. Feel free to add me to your friends list, and hit me up in-game if you ever see me on! I would love to start playing WAR again and dominate with our premades.

(They used to not allow you to make toons of different factions on the same server, so I just made multiple trial accounts.)


The WAR Endless Trial works as follows: You can play for as long as you like with any character type you like pursuing any of the 24 careers on offer, but you can’t take a character above level 10. What that means is you can try multiple characters and start new characters as often as you like.

The Endless Trial has actually changed a bit since it first came out. However, it's still a lot of fun considering its absolutely free and I think that the T1 oRvR (open world PvP), the Scenarios (battlegrounds), and the weekend events are very enjoyable. Currently, these are the restrictions of having an Endless Trial account:

- Level caps at level 10. Afterwards, you can continue playing but you will no longer level up.
- Reknown rank caps at level 20. Think of this as a PvP rank, leveling this up unlocks gear and bonus stats.
- Cannot trade.
- Cannot send mail. (However, you can receive mail)
- Cannot use flight paths.
- Cannot purchase additional bag space. However, the bags you start with is more than enough at level 10.
- Cannot use the auction house.

PS: This game looks pretty shitty to me on the default graphics settings. But imho it looks absolutely amazing on ultra if your computer can handle it!

Damn, wish I checked the forums sooner so I could address these questions. Actually the +16 and +17 talismans are made with the purple drops from scavenging, or you can make a talisman out of a blue and if you're lucky it'll proc into a purple. ie: using the mats for a +12, you might get lucky and get a +17.

Actually, I can use a free 10-day thing (just like a rez scroll, but you get one after every 3 months of being inactive, lol), and I can buy the talismans with the gold on my ex-WAR main, and just send you guys the purple talismans. Unfortunately, the drops for the uber twink gear (Worth, War-torn, Prudent) have been removed from the game, so they cost literally thousands of gold from sellers who still happen to have some laying around on a bank alt or something for some odd reason. So I won't be able to twink you out via gear, but I can most definitely help twink you out via talismans. Not to mention my healer twinks can keep you alive for days once you're geared up! ;)
