He's going for maximum crit. With heirloom pants he's getting: -13 Strength, -3 Stamina, +19 Crit.

Crits with mortal strike and/or execute can win fights in this bracket - he's still got quite a decent amount of strength

Yeah, I'm sure the numbers can be fiddled around and there's better gear for him.

As for my warrior, I still need a few more bits. Demon Band x 2, breastplate from slave pens (swear this is like a 1% droprate), brewfest trinket & maybe black steel bracers.

Yeah I just took a look into the bracers this morning myself, for the meantime green BoEs from outlands are 9/13 over 8/13 and are usually cheap on the AH

Black Steel Bindings vs the ones you have... It's a toss up really. They say 2 versa = 1 strength so it matches on those stats. With yours you then gain 2 crit.

Depends how high you value versatility. I'll probably look for some greens on the AH tonight.

I feel your pain too well. I’m at nearly 40 runs without seeing the chest. Maybe we should group up and see if it helps increase our odds of that stupid chest to drop. As for demon bands, I can’t seem to find one in the ah over level 51ish. There’s also two cloaks to keep an eye out for... lambent scale cloak (the my warrior has; zerofoxtrot) and bloodlust cape that is 12 str 13 stam. Also, the meta gem slot is super OP for the haste proc. It really gets your 2handers moving...

Gearing a unholy dk, have a 99 blood. Just curious on what gems would be the best? Does strength effect the dots that unholy has?

Yo - I'd say follow my build for all the gemmed pieces. They're BIS apart from the chest. rings you'll want demon bands x2 unless you're planning on going a haste build.

TBH a haste build is tough to do at 60 as all the gear generally gives crit.

Strength increases all your damage on dk, including the dots.

Yeah I have wondered about that slot - how much haste does it give? or is it attack speed?

BTW - Landslide gives something like 112 ap in bgs whereas crusader only gives 62. This is because it scales to 60. Crusader being a classic enchant loses it's potency after level 60.
