Arena Etiquette for dummies

When I used to queue with my rogue I never had a planned partner, and any time I got in a situation where I was 2v1 I didn't ever expect any mercy from the other side. Honestly I looked toward seeing how well I could pull off defeating both opponents. I do see the points on both sides... That was my personal prefrence. I did follow the ettiquet when it was me who had the partner and my opponent did not unless he/she decided to attack me while that person was fighting my partner. To me it's a game and someone 2v1 me didn't send me to a hospital or lower my rank etc. I know other people see things differently so I respect their views untill they disrespect mine.

I'm constatly looking for 2v1s, if you can even kill 1 opponent in a 2v1 - you already bested them. I guess the difference between myself and the rest of the twinking community is that nothing gets to me, where as everybody else cracks when such a mynute problem such as a 2v1 appears.

This is actually a nice way of looking at it. If you are on the 1 side of a 1v2 and down one of their guys it is almost as good as a win. Keep in mind there are no hard rules to arena. This etiquette guide should be used as guide to being polite when the circumstance presents itself.. There are many situations where I would probably throw etiquette out the window if I was on the two side of a 2 v 1:



If the single was a lollowbienoob



If the single was a kiting class and the match would last for hours otherwise



If wsg popped and we hand to get out quick



If something came up in RL and I just wanted to get out of the arena



If I wanted to make someone religious about etiquette nerd rage! (Would probably be a result of one of the previous senarios)

Totally understandable, but I will refer back to my first post. Twinks need to stop expecting a 1v1 and stop complaining when a 2v1 happens - because really, nobody cares.

You don't have an opinion due to your terrible consideration of the one player on the other team. Getting roflsmash't by 2 guys, one being a fucking shaman? Come on ffs, thats really the way to go. Stop people queuing 2v2, good stuff.

i am not agreeing, for 2v1 for me is a challenge more then anything else. when i queued to arena it was clearly queing for 2v2 not 1v1 so it doesn't matter if you end up being alone or not, when you queue you are clearly expecting to either be 2 on your team or one. it, same for the other team when they queued they clearly expected to both fight, not just look who's on the other side and letting the right guy duel.



i did let my friend do the fight sometimes, have let him have fun. but when i see him about to die i just in and kill the bastard before my friend dies. seriously in 2v2 you cant hope to have 1v1, if you want duels then go outside the city and do it.



for my part i always queue with someone and if people were brilliant they'd always queue with a team, just like they do at 80. that you make sure never to be alone on your side. but heres the run down, you queued nobody else, so you're the one to blame for deciding to take the chance of being alone on your side. thats how i see it.



when i take that decision and end up alone, i am not bitching, i am taking this as a tough fight and see my limits and actually enjoy getting knocked out while giving them a hard time playing around !

when you pushed the little 2v2 button do you really think you're queuing for 1v1 ?

i know its not your fault if your partner decided not to show up. but you dont have any right to tell the others how to stop pummelling you around for it. to me the victory is the about the only thing that matters when i enter arena's. there are lows i'm not going to get into, like gy camping in WSG, but again, victory is the only thing that matters.



what you are aksing has simply no logic and seems more like a troll on your part then real etiquette or even respect of the person.

So I and a guildie Qd for twos, and got a 2v1. I waited while our opponent and my guildie faced off. It was a long fight. I was patient. My guildie lost in the end. I then patiently waited for the opponent to heal back all his health without bandaging so his bandage would not be on cooldown. I then stepped out into the arena. Then he turned to face me. Then the match ended and my team won. Did he AFK out? Is there a time limit on arenas? WTF?

i think there's a 40 minute timer on arena's now, or there has been a timer for quite a while.



except there's nothing to count it down, it just ends at 40 minutes.

Arenas end after 47 minutes.

It was only about 10-15 minutes. There is no way it went that long. He must have gotten a WSG pop or something.

Behaving like a child? The problem is this community is that it is full of children who expect more out of others such as funding, and don't give back. Their expectations extend into "etiquette" - the imaginary way to play a game, formed around the basis Blizzard already provided. If the arena is a 2v1, its a 2v1 - not a 1v1.

I guess it's kind of a respect thing and a desire to want a fair match. If you don't want a fair match then you have problems and don't belong in the twink community (I don't know of one real twink that just wants to own undergeared people.) In this same vein, guilds that premade like winning but they would much rather have a guild on the opposing faction that can hang with them and put up a good fight. If you extend the 2v1 in arena and magnify it by 5 it's like playing a WSG 10v5. I don't know about you but I hate 10v5 WSG no matter what side I'm on. If i'm on the 10 side I would prefer to 3 cap and leave rather than honor farming. You are probably the type of person that says "hey guys lets farm for a while" (GTFOIMO)



Getting back to arena's, There is no rating at lvl 19 so if it is a 2v1 the 2 side can just as easily leave and reQ. But I guess it just makes some people feel good to faceroll, for example, a lone mage with 2 hunters right?
