Anyone playing Smite?

Topic title.

Great MOBA with WASD 3 person movement that is reminiscent of WoW. If you are an arena player, you'd probably really enjoy Smite. F2P, just picked up by Tencent in China so it will likely explode and become the next LoL. Early adopters get tons of perks. Jump on board now, it's a blast. Collecting names now for group games.

It's all relative. For me, GW2 did kill any interest I had in WoW. But I had 8 solid years invested in WoW. I'm sure new players are still enjoying learning the basics like cooldown management and positional awareness.

It's not better than LoL, but it's certainly different and I think it'll gather a lot of traction because of the way it's played. WASD vs clicking - I didn't care much for Diablo and was always accustomed to WASD. Besides, skill shots are pretty fun in Smite :)

Old people come back to speak to old people. I'm looking for old F2P friends. The games change, the people don't. Hopefully you also get the chance to make some friends :D

It is better than LoL in the way that it is 3rd person and much alike wow in the pvp gameplay there + its moba. so for those who like that its better

Explains the 5 second queues in LoL
It isnt shit. I used to think that. Tried it and it was awesome. Still is.

I recommend this game for people who've tried moba's into the past, but couldn't get into them.

I honestly never touch any of the other game modes besides 5v5 arena, so fun.

Yeah, I've never liked click to move. Diablo 3 and LoL are hell for me. This is not? Sounds interesting.
 
smite is ok, i tried it at the beginning of the beta but it was just so raw and so many bugs that i couldn't get into it

goldendays PM me or msg me on skype. do you play with a group? i mostly play LoL but i would be down to try smite if we already had a group of cool, competent people to roll with

I also like arena, but for new players note that this mode has nothing to do with mobas (which is the conquest mode in Smite). Arena is a brawler mode (with gear) based around a single line of mobs you try to control. Each team of players start with a score, which get smaller each time a member of your team die or one mob reach the oppoosite exit of the map. You can also get back some of your score by killing opponents.

I tried out Smite briefly but was in the same boat as Cotus. Maybe I'll give it another shot with you guys.

P.S. If you ever get back into GW2, hit me up (rsq.3581). I'm playing that game somewhat seriously - on a high ranked team in their mist league. Still waiting for #esports but still the most fun game out there atm imo. Hope to see you around either way man!
 
Lots of crazy names up in this thread. Hi GD, thought you died to be honest. How's life without that crazy chick? I'm unfortunately going to stick to not playing any other games since I know I'll get way into it and waste a lot of time! With that being said, if you, Shft, Cotus, Earl etc. all get into this game and start a Skype group you're always in - let me know.
