Any leech build?

I don't think you are doing 60% less dps even if you give up every 2-3 BC gem gear slots

I was saying it's more class-dependent than just picking one and dropping leech into it... MM will do it better than enh.

It does more DPS, therefore it will see more return on investment.

you seem really bitter about some things
I was getting the "hateu healers" vibe pretty strong up there too... not sure what that has to do with leech, but yeah.

guys you are all arguing as if you are swimming in socket gears with leech...

i am happy enough to just have a socket upgrade in BfA zones/dungeons, additional suffix can be whatever, leech, speed, avoidance, i don't care.

like, i just ran blood furnace 30 times and still don't have the leggings.

i would say it must work pretty well.

Find out if he runs premades, then worry about his overall win %. Because that is what that is EXACTLY tied to... unless you only play and get casino royale lucky on your factions peak hours. I would lean towards only premades with that score... you can't keep that high queing solo and randomly hoping the other team has all S-tier specs.

And the 3% probably came from his premade running into some actual ganstas and mucked it up.

Other than that, I'm sure he has soloed/duoed many other melee that just could not kill him and made the mistake of thinking he was just another un/under geared DK.

In addition he has an i49.

Don't discount the most important factors, then think it was LEECH!!!!

Noticed that too. Interesting on the weapon enchant choice....

As to the win rate, I've played only a handful and off-peak and I'm pretty sure horde has won all of them (even the one I played as ally so not taking credit). I agree it's likely a faction/timing/premade thing, certainly not a leech thing.

edit- hey, as to your other topic, I won an EotS last night that i would put 100% credit on our healer. Tossing you that. ;) I was awful, played awful, positioned awful, had addon issues, and that healer made me look not awful. Lol. All of us, really.

Heya, you can always ask me!

I do tend to run premades, not to have the wins but rather to play with friends (ik this has mixed opinions but lets not get into that please). It is true that the majority of my wins are from playing in premades and just simply because bgs are very alliance sided and I'm not scared to say I do not deserve that win % haha.

In regards to the leech; I've been playing Unholy since prepatch hit and I've found legion boe gear to surpass tbc socket gear on this specific spec BY FAR. I've found haste mastery to be an ideal setup. Versatility scales very bad imo (this is from duels and bg experience) but a little bit of said stat can make a huge difference where a big amount of versa doesnt matter so much. I've been running a full haste mastery set for a couple of weeks now and just last week I finished up my leech build.
The reason I didnt opt for a speed build is because I enjoy being on a high health pool for the majority of the fight whilst just pouring huge dps on my enemies (big thx to my 49 arti) and the fact that dk's have a rather small defensive kit.

To give you an idea of the healing i do: in a duel vs a protpala (w i49 arti aswel and "bis" gear) as unholy my Orb of Torment trinket heals between 1,2k and 1,7k whereas the leech on my gear heals me for 400-700. The difference in numbers is ofc based on length of those duels. I've yet to get a good grip on leech healing in bgs. (captioned bis there because real bis is sort of subjective with all the different options to make builds)

Noticed that too. Interesting on the weapon enchant choice....

I'm done with crusader tbh and the +wep damage is a nice permanent boost. Haven't done alot of testing and I dont even know if I have the right enchant :p

Crusader is broken so it's pretty much teh go-to for str classes is all... you can enchant however you want. ;)

Crusader procs 100 strength yes, however it does not always proc as often; i have had several duels in a row where it procced maybe once or twice and then i have duels with almost constant uptime, unfortunately the latter ones are not as numerous. I am not saying the wep dmg enchant is better, I just like having a permanent higher dmg output (i've yet to do actual testing since i slapped it on a couple of days ago and havent logged alot since) rather than relying on procs to really slaughter people. Again, I haven't decided on using it permanently yet due to lack of testing but I do am very fond of the idea to replace crusader ^^

Is there a better permanent 2 handed weapon enchant other than +4 weapon damage? Isn't that the same as the one-handers?

Massacre?

How much does a unholy DK lose in leech BG>World? (I assume its just like any other stat where classes/specs have different %).

I have no idea what weapon damage enchant is the best one to be honest, I know of the feral one but no clue if that applies to other classes. I also regret not buying different wep dmg enchants to test around with before I went f2p :(

As for the leech, I have 15% open world and 12% in bg, not so much of a downscale I think. Have not played with leech enough to know its actual value though

Orb of Torment trinket is a genius idea though. good job!

Heya, you can always ask me!
1. What are you thoughts on death knight twinks as a whole, in general? And what are your thoughts about each spec specifically?

2. Do you think a leech build is viable for frost or even for other classes? If so, which ones? If not, why not? (I ask primarily in regard to frost.)

3. Why haste/mastery? I’ve heard repeatedly that crit>verse>haste is invariably the priority of secondary stats for noncasters. Consequently, that’s the route I went, but since I’ve joined XPOFF, I see iLVL 28 noncaster builds that emphasize other secondaries. Why is that?

1. I have loved Death Knights ever since they were released in the game and have mained one ever since. I have always mained Unholy and I love that playstyle the most. In the current bracket Unholy has a huge burst and can do pressure whilst taking people's HP from a 30yd range with your Clawing Shadows talent.
Frost on the other hand is (from what I've played in that spec) a very fun mid brawler spec in bgs; you just dot everyone up with your Frost Fever and go in cleaving people with your Inorexable Assault talent (if using a 2h => which I do because i49 arti) and then dumping your frost strikes on someone. Alot of fun aswel!

Unfortunately I have not played enough in the Blood spec to give you an idea of what that spec is like.

2. Because Frost Fever is your main dmg source if you check dps meters, I would heavily advise someone to make a leech build for Frost. I haven't done it yet because gathering a Feverflare-leech set was hard and I dont have the gold to do the same with a Peerless-leech set (crit mastery = imo the stat prio for frost)

3. Haste because, as I stated before, DK's have a rather small defensive kit and you need as much Rune uptime as you can! Having depleted runes = wasted time! I have not tried using crit for Unholy but lacking defensive cd's I prefer a constant stream of high dmg rather than having a short burst of "huge crits", which you cannot do on a crit stacked build since your Runes dont regen as fast and thus you will have some rough death moments (which is not bad in duels since they are quite fast but in bgs I like to be able to fight all the time instead of sitting on autoattack from time to time.
Mastery because shadow damage mate; Unholy mastery amplifies your shadow damage (which is basically all your damage except Death Strike) and it increases your pet damage, and those hurt a whole lot on high mastery. As I stated before versa does not scale so very well and a small amount can make a bigger difference than having alot of versa.
As for crit, almost my entire WoW carreer I have skipped this stat on most of my classes simply because I like to have a fast gcd and play my rotation faster in general.

Edit: thanks for the interest in DK's, ever since prepatch I have felt they are underrepresented and left out in class / spec discussions.

Thanks! I'm learning so much.

You said you prioritize haste (for unholy) because of rune regen, etc., but prioritize crit for frost. Why the difference? Don't both specs want fast rune regen?

I have found that haste and rune regen are not so very important as frost. Then again, I main unholy and I'm not very familiar with the frost spec. I used to "meme" in frost with my unholy gear and did okay'ish even with i49 artifacts. Someone then told me that frost would benefit more if I stacked crit mastery instead of haste mastery and yes yes, the damage is alot higher! It does not feel as fast but I dont think it needs to be played as fast as unholy. Again, I don't main this spec so I cannot say for sure if crit mastery is the way to go for frost.

Any thoughts on dual wield frost vs two handed frost, especially in regards to your armor/stats?
I cannot say for sure if 2h is better than dual wielding or the other way around (thinking artifacts with same ilvl comparison here). I play 2h (because of my i49) with the Inorexable Assault talent (Obliterate damage if I'm not mistaken). I have ilvl33 frost artifact and I use the other talent for that (not the Chains of Ice one and not the forementioned one either).
Again, I'm an Unholy player and I rarely go frost. I don't think i'll be able to help you any further with a frost dk :(
