Any horde interested in an 80 only ICC25 heroic raid?

Guess the guilds'll be prioritised?
or gear?
ilvl, BiS?

I honestly have no idea atm. It will be something to do with gear, but I don't know how simple/complicated I'll make it.

The problem with ilvl is that some classes have access to more 409s than others, so that's not really fair.

Ill come on my mage! /pm me for real-id, or whatever you use to invite :)

that's what i meant with "better in slot". although I guess twink-gear is about what you prefer...
it's like the problem with gearscore, where people used their pvp-trinket in pugs so they'd get it higher :/

(I wouldn't expect any of you to do anything like that though, ofc not)

I dug up that old "Twink Audit" program I made a while back for finding twinks/guilds via the armory, and ran 38 of the signs through it (there's more than that, but I still need armory links for some). 35 of them were classed as "twinks" >_<

I'll either have to make stricter requirements or choose 25 people at random.

Edit: Btw, I'll probably close sign-ups by the end of today since we already have more people than there are spots for.

11% hit means casters would need 33% to hit a +3 boss. That isn't true, so I'm going to assume the melee cap changes similarly.
Its 3% per level until +3, and then it starts adding 11% per level. That doesn't make sense, but that's how it works. Just try to attack a level 93 dummy with a level 80 caster, you'll have 5% hit (because it caps at 5%).

You should know better, after fighting sha on a level 80 paladin. Did 95% of your attacks miss? Or was it closer to 68%? Alright, I'm not sure 95% is the cap, might be a bit lower (like 90%), but I know for a fact that spells always had a much higher chance to miss against high level targets than melee attacks.

I really wasn't expecting so many signs, but I finally finished deciding on the raid setup.

It was extremely difficult to choose which of the ~50 people get to go and I'd like to apologise to those who will be disappointed by not getting a spot. To try and make it as fair as possible, I based all the decisions on each character's gear/enchants/gems/professions since that's all we had to go by with this being our first raid (in a while). Don't take it personally if you aren't on this list (I'd have taken you all if only it were possible) and I hope you can understand that in the end I could only pick 25 people. I will no doubt be organising some more 80 raids in the future, so there will be plenty more opporunities!

Of course like with any PuG some people probably won't turn up, so there's a small chance that there may be places open to any reserves that still log on in time.

This will be a speed-run, so please optimise your character the best you can (gear/enchants/gems/reforges/professions) and although flasks/food will be provided, please bring consumables if possible (including plenty of potions!).

The raid is due to start at 20:00 realm time (19:00 UK time), so try to be online at least 15mins before that. If all goes well, we should be done in ICC within about 1-2 hours so we may do another raid afterwards if enough people are interested and unsaved (it could be RS/ToC/Ony/Naxx/OS/EoE).

Not long now! Remember to bring potions if you can, they have such a huge effect on DPS.

Also, if anyone is able to record the raid from their point of view that'd be awesome, but make sure you have a decent amount of harddrive space free (at 1080p with 30fps, you should need a maximum of about 200-250gb if you're recording everything or 30-40gb if you're only recording bosses).

A message to any death knights who are coming: We will all be controlling Plague Scientists when we reach the plague quarter using Control Undead (so make sure it's on your action bars somewhere).

It is important that you don't let this mob die as there are only 6 of them, so make sure you use Death Coil heals on it if needed. Here's a macro for healing your pet with Death Coil:
Code:
#showtooltip
/cast [@pet] Death Coil

You will also need to re-control it every 5 minutes (as that's how long Control Undead lasts). Please keep an eye out for when your pet will need to be re-controlled so people dont accidentally kill it in the middle of a trash pull.

The reason this mob is so useful is because it has an ability called Plague Stream which increases someone's damage by 100% (constantly). As the mages are most likely to be doing the most DPS, we will be casting it on them, so you will need to use one of the following 2 macros. If you have enough macro slots, make a macro for several different abilities (like Frost Strike, Obliterate, Howling Blast, etc).

If you have the player set to focus, you can use this macro by replacing SPELLNAME with one of your spells (eg. Frost Strike). Do not remove the ! in front of the SPELLNAME though:
Code:
#showtooltip
/cast !SPELLNAME
/cast [@focus,nodead,help][@player] !Plague Stream

If you want to use your focus for something else, you can make the macro target a specific player by name instead by using this macro and replacing PLAYERNAME with their name (replace SPELLNAME too ofc). I'm not 100% sure how this works with cross-realm players (you might need to include the realm name too), so it's probably best to use the focus one above instead:
Code:
#showtooltip
/cast !SPELLNAME
/cast [@PLAYERNAME,nodead,help][@player] !Plague Stream

Finally, one last thing that I will remind you about when we get there: After we kill Blood Queen, all the DKs who are controlling undead mobs MUST go back down the way we came (do not jump through the trap-door like everyone else). This is because the mob sometimes decides to run down the side which we didn't clear, meaning we pull a lot of extra trash mobs.

Cleared the whole of ICC25 heroic in just over 40 mins (from the first trash mob to the LK's death).

Also did RS25hc, where we killed Halion in just over 1 min :p

Edit: We did ToGC25 and tried 4 wings of Naxx25 at the same time but some of the boss abilities were raidwide which bugged them out xD

Edit2: Next week's raid is up on OpenRaid. Please sign there if you want to come (not on here): http://openraid.eu/r/64939

150k dps mages FTW!

Purely awesome video and great work, however this saddens me that you can skip over pretty much all mechanics with new items now :( Doesn't seem to be hard anymore. also wish we could do cross continent raids :D
