Hello F2P friends and fellow travelers!
@Nocontest and Paigexd finding Data-For-Azeroth and bringing it to our attention got me thinking that it would be a wonderful tool to actually build a working F2P leaderboard. So I got in contact with the dev and had a bit of a chat and he actually worked some functionality into the site that allows you to create a custom leaderboard!
So I'm going to build and maintain a F2P leaderboard. Here's how you get on it
"100 points for mounts, leveled pets, toys, titles, and exalted reputations. 10 points for recipes and quests. 3 points per achievement point. 1 point for appearances. Weights are subject to change."
I did not create the score weighting, I have no control over it and its geared towards end game players entirely. So dont whine at me if you think it favors the wrong things. That said, you can sort the leaderboard by all sorts of scores (mount, recipes, HKs, achievement points, etc) to see where to stand on individual metrics.
Once I get the initial board completed, I'll post a link at the top of this post. Much like the armory thread, do not expect me to add your characters immediately. I'll update the leaderboard a couple times a week as I have time.

So I'm going to build and maintain a F2P leaderboard. Here's how you get on it
- Submit the name of your toon and your realm and region to this thread
- Make sure you disable "character only achievements". The site will not display you on the leaderboard if you have that enabled. In game, navigate to Interface > Social > uncheck the box that says "display only character achievements to others".
- Do not submit alts
- You must be a F2P to participate. Not a vet, not a Linked F2P, but a regular old, run-of-the-mill F2P.
- Because of some of the limitations of the way this is built, I will only maintain the leaderboard with the top 25 F2P toons on it. It'll get a bit unwieldly otherwise. So you might want to look up your toon on the database first and see if your Completion Score is high enough to warrant inclusion.
