Afking to preserve rating

You know I appreciate that we have an arena ladder going but when I have some of the highest rated people on farm and watch them afk out so fast after we kill one of them that I almost believe they have an addon for it... I question how much skill is actually in their rating that they have (wont @ you... you know who you are... and so does everyone else)

when we delete their druid ( or w.e shitty healer they are carrying with their fotm double arcane )they both afk. but dont worry when you leave arena it still counts as loss. so they lose rating

Pretty sure they lose rating for deserting.

Anyways, if you care enough to make a thread about it maybe you should move on to more official ladders like 120 arenas.

No. Hashbrowns has written a script to pull mmr ratings from the blizzard API and has a ladder thread he wrote himself. Xpoff ladder has been broken for a long time.
 
interesting. not rlly a finger point, but.... wonder why jaybud insta leaves several games and still stays the same rating the next time it's updated. @Light I mean ya... 2 arcane is deff a little meh to most ppl. does the arcMage/ret/priest count has fotm too?
Only time I ever instant leaves is to the 3 losses today VS how many wins. I literally called preserve rating be4 I said "I might as well start doing it too." Idk how well the script is written, imo. I usually have light on farm like 20 wins VS 1 loss a few days ago. His sht never went down at all. I'm not pointin the fingers or flexing at all. I just don't think the script is actually a true 120 ingame blizzard UI. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like it.

beyond pointless.
thats what happens when you queue double arcane mage. you become dependent on a healer and are forced to queue 3s constantly.
2s or just straight pugging by yourself pop faster = more wins.
thats most likely how he stabilizes his rating. but its an honor to make someone think the script is busted simply because i dont go down in rating lol

then again can always double check with @Hashbrowns

yeah, would b nice to clarify more. plus, would like to see some kind of win/loss ratio. would make more sense to be like oh okay. he played 50 more games while ppl sleep or sumtin. not just you... there's a handful of ppl that never go down but queues daily. not directing at oil either.

Yeah I know but this isn't new. Skirmishes leaderboard for twinks exists since 10th January 2016. I wondered that this is still a thing

just realized the guy who made this thread is the druid you que with
you guys are stressing too much over leveler bracket rating
you gotta stay loose. cant worry to much or your gonna have a heart attack

I don't think anyone is really stressing as when a team wins the majority of the time playing double arc. even with a worse off experienced healer or mage/ret/healer the other 50% of the time. It just doesn't make sense, lol. I call it like i see it. If i see people insta leave and loses like most of the day and the rating never goes down. imma question it.

Lemme explain how this works so folks dont get confused. The scores are built from Blizzards internal skirmish rating. Hashbrowns has nothing to do with your rating, he's just reporting Blizz's internal number.

That rating is an ELO system. ELO works on pretty basic premise that if you're beating someone with a lower score, then their score wont drop much but if you beat someone with a higher score, their score will drop more. How much their points flux depends on how much of a spread there is and how often you beat them. Since low level skirmsh rating is built around 2s and 3s as a total number, then your teammates rating may affect how many points you do and dont lose (i really have no idea how blizzard calculates that) But you guys are end game area champs, so you should know this already.

What you may not know is...

Hashbrowns arena ladder doesnt auto update. He has to go in and manually update it and it seems like he gets a chance to update it ~2 times a week. So if you worked Light over last night, it may be a few days before you see that reflected in the ladder. So, ya know... stop stressin
