Affliction Warlock

JadeFire

Worthless
What is the build to use if you want to do 250k plus. Seen multiple people do it... unfortunately they are the psychopath type that take the time to log out in greys/gear that is obviously misleading, etc.

Haste/Mastery?

Just stacking Int to the gills?

Obviously I get that we are using saltwater/oil up the ass and it has to be a longer game/specific circumstances, but there has to be a base build that is getting the numbers that high.

Any ideas?

I've never seen anything that high. 100-150k I would consider a good game.
I think the answer is dot management, you have to dot everything and keep it doted. Get something like tidy plates so you can track dots on the name plate. And never let the ramp up damage from Agony fall off.

I'm sure haste is important but I don't play much lock so can't advise BiS for that :)

I'd probably run instant Shadow Bolt for talent, since you don't want to burn time channeling Drain Life. Take the damage on a global and get back to dotting. They fall off fast.

I went haste/mastery/intellect. I'm old school though with haste, I hate slow dotting. Went Inevitable Demise as I almost never cast shadowbolt. I don't use saltwaters and didn't pick up alchemy yet. Will be re-gearing my first set of toons later with more ilvl 28, so gear is only what I could get at the time.

Looks like I got up to 176k one game, but that was because Horde War Machine had healers in a long back and forth eots. I think I forgot to re-summon my dead imp part way through this game, so the numbers would have been closer to 200k.

1- affliction warlocks are sick and you do great damage ( qued into you before)
2- that first SS looked like an amazing game and I am pretty jealous
3- I like your gnomes mog.
And last I love affliction but I am terrible at it :(

1 and 3) For some reason, almost no one attacks me when I wear the BC quest helm. I like to think it lulls enemy players into thinking I'm harmless. :)

2) I think all games where I've faced Horde War Machine have been the most fun. A lot of back and forth and the outcome isn't clear.

Affliction has been my first love, I'm godawful at destro and demo. Funny how certain classes/specs work for people.

Oh shit boys we got a mention!

GG your warlock is sick.

My warlock's sub is not up yet.. however...

Here is my dude, outside of not wanting to pay 2million gold on BH for socketed Cape/Neck/Rings looks decent IMO.

What about some simple brainless macros based on the 20s game play... is it worth it to cast unstable affliction as far as a time usage?

Right now I have /castsequence reset=5 Agony, Corruption, Unstable Affliction;

I was planning on just switching targets till everbody is loaded then just M-Rapture nuke everybody to death?

Is there anything else of note?

Nice looking toon. I'd try to farm cloak/neck/rings, you may get lucky! I regret not having more time on my first set of toons. 3 months later and I have a good stockpile of socketed cloak/neck/ring. Somedays it was raining sockets. (we'll ignore the days where the socket well ran dry)

I don't use macros, just tab dot and run away. Can only have one UA on one target, I usually put it on someone I don't want dispelled. So yep, agony and corruption on 2-4 people, one UA on someone, then spam malefic rapture. Toss in drain life when high Inevitable Demise stacks. And the usual fears and curses as needed, and health funnel on your pet. I think the imp works best for more ranged damage since we don't have felhunter command demon at level 20.

Yeah, Id rather jump out of my office window and have my head explode on the ground right next to the people eating at the restaurant down stairs than farm 1 item.

I might spend more $ on it depending on how I feel for Alch flask/Eng goggles/missing slots... but that is only going to be 5% total increase in damage... not sure if its worth it.

you either get the gear to make the build to do the damage, or you cut corners and handwave away damage increases.

I might, but id still be ok with doing 213750 damage :p

Consider picking up the demo 1h plus offhand artifact. Get the extra offhand +intellect enchant compared to using the staff.

Gnomes look cool but I am kind partial to fem undead myself. What are the prices like for the socket greens over on BH? they must be crazy lol.
