I'm going for the Slicer on mine. I'll pick up a barb too. But for now the stats on the slicer sound very warrior friendly.

i say VDSC for normal stuff, unless you're premading and need something that can take oil. Any extra crit rating is nice

Slicer for defense, Cruel Barb for offense. The BoA isnt BiS for either defense or offense, not many situations where its desirable imo.
