A Quick Recap on Tonight's Games

Well, which jumps were banned from the 19 twink cup, if any?

Bottom to top horde tunnel, bottom to horde gy, horde gy wall jump to ramp, ally bottom gy to tot and during the competition, the large stump in front of horde rejuv hut because certain classes could not reach it.

I understand that it's frustrating that I use a jump that no one knows about.

However, the next TC will be level 39, with TP being in the map pool. And you can't be all noob-friendly in a competitive tournament environment.

So yes, I understand that innovation is bad for a noob-friendly environment, I get that. Therefor I'll stop doing that in pugs, however banning this jump which literally a cat can do in the Twink Cup would really make me question the ones managing the whole thing. Because the logic wouldn't be there.

So are we on even ground now? I believe we understand each others views better atm.

It has nothing to do with being "noob friendly"

When will people who are pro-jumps get this through their heads, it's unbelievably frustrating to read this garbage every time a discussion about jumps comes up. The "logic" you're looking for is that jumps are a fallback for poor play.

Crossed mid at a bad time? Do a jump, now they can't chase me and if they do I jump off the building and I'm out.
Team getting pushed back in midfield? Jump into GY, now they can't chase me because it's a stupid move positionally and they'll more than likely just die. There's examples for pretty much every jump out there.

Jumps don't make you more skillful, you're even admitting it yourself, but at the same time you don't realize how badly things like that can negatively affect and essentially completely ruin otherwise "good" games.

My opinion on this is going to stand, and I hope Living reads this because if there is a 39 TC, I will not be supporting it whatsoever if it's a free-for-all in terms of jumps. We all saw how badly the few jumps that were allowed ruined some matches in the 19 TC and caused a huge controversy. I'm not going to support or help an event that is going to head down the exact same road.

I'll ignore the unneccesary disparaging remarks and say this: I presently have no say in the 39 TC. I have applied to be a part of the committee for that, but all the rules and info come from Living. It's his project. It's up to him what will be allowed and what will not.

On the same note though, in regards to the 39 bracket in general including pugs, that's my field. I asked Living, Scope, Nastay (when he comes back) to be bracket managers because I respect and value their ideas and input, and I don't want just 1 person making all the decisions regarding the bracket. Input is good, and I will no doubt be wrong on occasion.

But the bottom line and final decision is with me for now, until the community group votes to kick me out before I Julius Caeser the bracket or the bracket dies from my horrendous decisions. The only reason I have not out right banned the jump is because I don't see the point. If it gets to a point I want it to never happen again, then I'll take TP out of the queue pool. Having seen you use it to a non game breaking level, I'm hoping it will continue to that level if at all. I just don't want to hear someone sat their for 10 minutes then reset stacks against a team. That is horrendous gameplay.

So yeah, we're good now.

Let's say I go up there for 1 minute. Worst case scenario, no one knows the jump, therefor I'll be immortal for 1 min. Isn't that just as bad as if I sat there for 10 minutes?

So mostly one sided jumps that give an unfair advantage to one side. Then I wouldn't be surprised if the TP jump is on the chopping block as well. Not sure why MVP sounds so confident that it will be allowed.

There will be players that will learn to do it because they want to include the ability to do that in their play. There will be people who end up contesting you up there, it just stops gameplay where the EFC will always die from stacks and you won't. 1 minute with the ally team catching up and attempting to cut you off, cool. 10 minutes where you reset stacks for a quick cap after your team gets an an inevitable kill on EFC because of stacks is not cool.

You turtled with the flag to a winning position that at least tonight could not be contested. I don't think you're considering how it would feel to be on the other team.

maybe if flash bomb AFKed everyone from the BG for 15 minutes they would be comparable

you guys are just being ridiculous now :cool::cool:

Gaytwinker has been warned if he wants to enter the TC he won't ruin pugs any-more with flash/arcane bomb - as well as if anyone wants to enter the TC you will respect this and not do it yourself - idm pots and normal bombs and crap but it just shows how you have to rely on random shit to win - but flash/arcane bomb isn't avoidable.

I don't know why this Mvp guy is trying so hard in pugs. He's not impressing anyone but his 3 stream viewers.

You certainly are a salty player when it comes to jumps. Which is fine. However, I heavily disagree. If I can get to point A faster through abusing texture then I'm essentially better than you at moving my character in the specific map. That makes sense, doesn't it?

Just ban the jump man, there is no good coming out of making it allowed at all.

Gods gift to jumping

I'm streaming so my guild mates who cannot play the 39s can atleast watch the games.

Did u even read my post? I'll try put it into simpler terms

Even if literally everyone in the entire BG knows every single jump, they still negatively affect games. The reason jumps are bad has absolutely NOTHING to do with how difficult they are to perform.

Just ban all the TC jumps and don't play like a tryhard in pugs. This Mvp guy is a known cheater and psycopath. He constantly tries to exploit by abusing stack bugs, using "jump macros", and trying to get in unreachable areas. Not many people know this, but he was the FC for GSC (the team that I single handedly farmed into the dirt during the Twink Cup). During the Twink Cup GSC received a lot of criticism for exploiting with character unstuck. What people don't know is that they were also intentionally bugging stacks. This guy comes from a team that got scammed by a cultist ring leader pretending to live in a closet on a shoebox. They are obviously a bunch of psycos. Do not cave in. They are trying to deceive you. Ban the jumps.

Since we're on the subject of behavior that gets one banned from the "TC", will known DDoSers and their facilitators be playing in the TC ?

There goes half the 19 players

If I was trying to get into unreachable areas, then I'd be sitting inside the walls every game. However I respect the bracket and therefor I do not do these types of things.

Vanillamilk is currently reading this thread from his Luxembourg estate. I repeat, do not trust anyone associated with GSC. They are a bunch of cult members who are trying to manipulate Livingforce. This Vanillamilk guy literally pretended to be a poor Bosnian living in the Caribbean so that his internet friends could give him $1000.
