A Big Thank You To This Community! (And Probably Farewell)

Hello!

It's been many months since I've been to these forums, and many more months since I've logged in to play F2P WoW. My health could not keep up with actively playing as much as I did anymore, and so I basically quit playing ALL videogames for a good chunk of time. I came back for a bit to play retail WoW with some friends, but after two weeks of it I just didn't have the stamina to continue. Luckily for me during those two weeks I looted the rarest Shaman neck recipe and sold it for about 1.5 million gold, then converted that into about $150 in WoW tokens. I used that money months later to buy Diablo 4 (the beta was fun) which will become my next "free to play" game in the future.

For those who don't know me, I was a hardcore (the no-lifer kind, not the permadeath kind) Pure F2P Hunter. I spent about 1 year playing almost 8 hours daily farming solo for achievements and collectibles and eventually even made a guide for Marksman Hunters (way outdated now, hope it gets deleted someday lol). I cleared every quest, explored every zone, and soloed every dungeon in expansion order. I didn't play much PvP. My goal was 9k achievement points before DF, but I petered out at around 8700.

Why did I play so much, you might ask? Well, I did it because of this community! It's always great to find people who enjoy the same thing you do. When the Shadowlands changes came in, I knew the F2P world would explode with content, and it would be the perfect time to get into it. It was great being able to share accomplishments and see what others had accomplished, and it was great to start informative conversations on discoveries made throughout the expansion. I appreciate how great all of you have been throughout the journey. Without all of you, I would've quit within a month.

Last time I was here, I had announced the start of a brand new account for Dragonflight where I would do everything all over again, this time as a Demon Hunter. Unfortunately, I just couldn't keep up stamina-wise the way I did before for health reasons. I quit about 3 weeks in and I haven't come back to my DH or my Hunter since.

Do I want to come back again? Kind of, that hardcore thread has me intrigued. Will I come back again? Probably not. My videogame stamina just isn't the same, and I'm basically in reserve mode until Diablo 4 comes out so I can play the heck out of that game (if any of you are planning to play it too, I'll be maining a Frost Sorcerer on launch).

In any case, I wanted to come back here at least one more time here to give my thanks to such a supportive community. I will probably still pop in once a month to see if anything cool pops up, but this will most likely be my last thread (and probably post too).

I wish you all the best in your F2P endeavors!

Sincerely, Vyvenem

Take care mate :KKomrade: :SadgeW: :PepeHands:

Good luck in your adventures, you brought a lot of energy to this bracket, and you're an excellent example for many solo f2ps around there, including my new hardcore hunter ^^.
Take care :PepeComfy:

Wish you luck in your endeavors, i've often thought about starting a hunter (which was the first class i played back in MoP when i started) after reading your hunter guide to mimick your progression. Maybe in the future...
Hope you can find an equally good community in D4, and most importantly one that values you for the energy you bring!

Damn, too many great f2p leaving recently, that hits the feels.
Just wanted to give a huge thanks, you were the embodiment of the f2p lifestyle (at least to me haha), a genuinely nice and helpful person and well, the Diablo playerbase sure as hell gained one of the best persons they could have asked for.
Hope you'll enjoy yourself, stop by these forums every now and then and most of all wish you the best for your health. :)
