pallys = tank healers imo. beacon helps some raid heals but meh, all about dropping those massive holy lights. get a druid for raid heals and a disc priest can do both with shields and good heals. when i run toc raids i like having at least one of each (did 2 heal it with pally shaman once, and pally druid)
im not a pally healer but from what i see and read (on wowhead, etc) they dont gear for mp5 or spirit they'd rather stack SP crit hast and int - not necessarily in that order - and take mp5 or spirit if its on a piece that would still be a significant UG
