6.2 BOAs

The great thing with BoAs is that you can enchant them with your main and then send them to your twink on any server on any faction. Less "funding" and less "sponsoring" needed. Which equal to less excuses to get started.

Yeah until you upgrade your boas to level 2 >.> Now I have to mail shit to a 95 alt I have on some random server w/o gold / resources to apply my leg armors. I need to level a new alt on my main realms so I can use up the 30+ of each armor kit I had made before 6.2 lol.

Sadface.

But agree 100% with your post

i got no issue with the boas. but they way to obtain them. especially the darkmoon faire one.
i think the healing trinket might be better. curious how the void thing will play out?
will it deal good damage, will it slow, or even root?
The DMF trinket is equivalent to the Gurubashi Arena one afaik

You don't have to upgrade them to gear your twink tho. And why do you need to use a lvl 95? Doesn't leg armors only require lvl85 max?

All level toons can benefit from any level heirloom. Most of my heirlooms are level three. Practically everyone that has been playing for any duration should have all of their heirlooms upgraded to level two by now. We have had years to upgrade them to level two. And several means to upgrade them.
Hell, I have already gotten all of my tokens to upgrade the new ones to stage two in my bank and I hardly play. It is just something to purge honor on. Probably the most economical if you intend to complete your entire heirloom set up to stage three.
At any rate, I would imagine the Void Tendril trink may provide a root. This may come in helpful for melee classes since it has versatility. If I remember correctly, there was another thread where someone was stating that this trinket would not suit melee classes well. On this I opine that it will because it will allow them to "root" caster classes and it will give melee classes a little more "ummph" as well as some defense.

True but ranged get it as well.
Rip melee.

You don't benefit from the exp bonus if you are using tier 1 heirlooms on a lvl 61+ char.

And trink might be good for healers as well to CC melee.

As fun as it is with new and better items. I honestly think there's too many BoA's now, A few BoA items was fine and there was still a huge diversity between normal gear sets. But with more BoA's being introduced, the diversity is getting smaller. Part of twinking for me, was to get the most out of my character, and I liked when it was "harder" to get BiS gear, which required a bit of dedication. Because it really seperated the dedicated people from the "average" or "casual" twinking player. That being said, I am aware that some of these BoA items can be harder to get than the alternative, but general speaking, slots such as chests, shoulders and legs isn't, or atleast, wasn't.

I still enjoy twinking and I will still play on my twinks. I just find it sad that the diversity is getting smaller. I like watching people try something else/new which maybe does or doesn't make sense, but it's different and serves its purpose, for example when people were running magic resistance gear, block shields with spike etc.

I am thinking of it from a healer's perspective, as that is all I play. One that knows when it time to get the hell out of it Dodge. Another CC will not help my trinket time. I may have to start quaffing potions of free action.

It still takes dedication to get BoAs. You do not get every BoA overnight. You do not upgrade every BoA overnight. Actually, I suppose you could on the second. It costs approximately 350,000 gold for everything. It takes a bit of dedication and time to obtain BoAs. If you want to feel like a special snowflake display an unique title. There are some titles that take years to obtain. Or go for that special battle pet that no one else has. WoW offers many many opportunities for people to set themselves apart from others.
I am sure many of the tBC twinks here agree with me when I say that gear disparity back then was far and in between. Practically everyone was geared the same. Our gear choices were very very thin. Every Hunter had twisted chanter staff, practically everyone used throat piercers, sergeants cloak, deviant scale belt, etc... Our enchant choices were one or two. The right here and now is the the golden age of twinking! Not tBC, not WotLK.

I respect your opinion, but I don't agree.
