Community Members,
I know some of you are probably already laughing at this message and thinking of something funny to say. I invite you to deliver whichever messages that come as a result of me being the poster directly to my inbox. Although I know the satisfaction of publicly disrespecting someone won't be there, but that's what determines the characteristics of a forum poster: one's ability to respect a community for the greater good of all and to take the higher road.
It's no secret that our activity since mid August has unfortunately been an all time low. With that being said every action (or change) has an equal and opposite reaction. Do not call it quits for 19's. A lot of people have been negative for a very long time about 5.4 and that is where the real damage was dealt. For those of us who have played many Wargames, done arenas, or helped to create pops all through last week, I feel I speak for many when I say that 19 PvP has improved greatly since 5.4. It is extremely fun and fast paced. Yes rogues are doing a lot of damage with ambush. But there is a way to make that no longer be as significant as it is currently. The solution lies within the community. Rogues should simply start playing other specs and classes. People need to step up and perhaps play Frost Mages. This will take care of the rogue problem, so there is that. People have brought to my attention the issue that there aren't many guilds and the bracket is now low in competition. Let me start by saying, guilds and rivalries are all formed over time. They are the result of agreeing and disagreeing with other's play styles, opinions and actions. With activity, new rivalries will form, new guilds will be created and new challenges will await. Whether it be in a matter of weeks or a matter of years. As long as there will be WoW there will be 19 twinkers.
Queue at 8:00 PM EST. We will remain in queue from as early as 7:45 PM EST to only as late as 8:30 PM. After 8:30 PM EST it is safe to log off of your level 19s and accept that games will not occur on that night. With that being said, many users will still be on their level 19s looking to play. This is when you should get in contact with Dirtyauction, Laurasia or others who are constantly running wargames and arenas. Alliance has been in need of 10 members willing to queue to create games for the bracket. If you have an alliance level 19, please see the importance of taking one for the team and putting your interests aside and put the best interests of the community before yours temporarily. Log on your Alliance level 19s and queue. If you are Horde, please do not queue assassination rogues looking to "pwn noobs". With that being said do not enter the graveyard, do not contain. I will be queuing on a random level 19 on Alliance side. Let's work together and get some pops going so we can start having fun.
The fun in world PvP for level 19s is greater than it has been in a very long time. If you want to have some fun on your 19 and are not interested in wargames, arenas, or 20s, you should check out STV/Duskwood for Horde players looking for world PvP against alliance characters, and Ashenvale for Alliance characters looking to play against Horde characters. Keep in mind if you are on a dead realm, you can be invited to a more popular PvP realm.
In the mean time make sure to check out the 20-24 bracket. Do not waste your time sitting in queue on "Wednesday" morning on your 19 hoping for a pop. For 20-24, Alliance has been lacking powerful twinkers. Horde is often queuing very powerful level 24 twinks and demolishing. Do not level your 19s. I can promise you, whether activity picks up or not, you will regret leveling your 19. In the 20-24 bracket you are playing with f2ps so it is safe to play without boas and while you are in the early gearing stages.
<Farstriders Elite> on Alliance Farstriders is the only active alliance formation I have noticed who are looking to counter the overpowering 24 shadowpriests and hunters that often populate the entire Horde faction. Yes, perhaps a slight overstatement... Whatever. PM Ðiscörd if you would like to get in contact with them to group queue or not, whether you are looking to transfer, reroll or group queue on a f2p or P2P, they seem to be a great group for alliance. Some friends of mine have been playing on Bleeding Hollow Horde as well as other locations. You can contact Gliiese or Curley if you would like to go that route.
TLDR:
Please play whatever bracket you desire, do whatever you would like to do until 7:45 EST on Friday night until only as late as 8:30 PM EST. Ally needs more 19s! I only ask for 45 minutes a week of your time, which is probably the amount of time you spend flossing depending on your dental hygiene
Cheers everybody! Please use this thread for helpful information and constructive discussion only.
