You pretty much proved what Mesikammen said in that post...

certain gears for certain scenarios, if bursting hard and rocking subterfuge go scarlet kris for your ambushes and swap to sfang for evis /hemo. (thought it makes little difference, as hemo hits for a bit more with dagger and looks liek it hits the same with evis)
in a fight with a lot of ToT, dual fangs with slice and dice up + lifeblood seems to put out ridic amount of damage.
