49 Shadow Priest?

I've had some weird interest in a Shadow Priest these past few days lol, anyone know if they're decent at 49 and know a good gear guide?

They're more viable here than in any lower bracket (bar 19, but hey, "Shadow Priest" @ 19, eh) but your largest enemy in WSG would be your mana-pool.

CharDev-link

That's the gear I'd use(I would use BoA Shoulders and Chest w/ +100 HP if you have any BoAs available).

Spec-wise, I'd recommend:

This (with SW:p and Inner Fire-glyphs)

or

this.

If you try the first spec, be aware that you should use Tidal Charm and not the Flashlight for the trinket-slot, since you have 3/3 Shadow Focus.

I find 49s fun. I don't know if you're US or EU, but in the US 49s have started to grow, we're getting games scheduled across the pond, and I can only speak for the EU-community when I'm saying that we're having tons of fun, although I think US-players would agree.

For you as a Shadow Priest; SHADOWFORM.

Wow this just sounds better and better. I'd buy myself a chopper too lol it'd look sweet with shadowform :p

49 SP's are very viable from a damage perspective. They're kind of rare too which is kind of an advantage because many players won't know your weaknesses like they do with other classes.

Mind blast crits for an SP blow a non-destro locks shadow bolts away for damage. I ran lock/sp with a friend of mine in 49's for months. I got sick of hearing how his Mind blasts were hitting for 1100-1200 while my puny shadow bolt crits (Full afflic.) were hitting for 750. However the two of us together were just wrecking balls paired up sharing shadow debuffs and more DOT's than you could count.

I wouldn't hesitate to put together a SP twink at 49's. They're a very fun class to play.

Shadow Priests are really great when people leave them alone. Even when they get one or two people on them, they have options to get them out of trouble.

Sorry kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff lol; what's glass-cannon?

Stacking spell power over everything else which usually leaves you with a very low health pool making you squishy as hell, hence "glass cannon".

Aah, I can see that being amazing as a shadow priest but also.. pretty bad lol. Any reccomendations?

Amazing maybe if you were invisible, but if you go glass cannon in 49s you'll just get globalled. I would aim for at least 3k health/4k mana and work on spell power from there.
