49 shadow priest, crit stacking?

something to think about is that dagger that you can get wotlk chants on and the cloud stone, taking on about 75 sp and stats

please my english isnt good, can you explain it once more?

after reading this thread I think to boost SP is much more better than to boost crit, isn´t it?

ok thanks to all. another question. (something abot gear) SoJ or Glowing Brigthwood Staff? Or use some dagger or one hand mace (like Vorpal Dagger of Shadow wrath, Smashing Star of Shadow wrath) and off-hand frill ( Cloud Stone, Abjurer´s Crystal )

I did a weighted search for gear on wowhead.com where i assigned a weight to each stat and i came up with the Glowing Brightwood Staff. It's a very interesting thing to do. I changed the weights in a certain range which still seemed acceptable to me and took the gear that showed up the most.

Example:

Stamina: 80 (for non-healing classes i take 100, if you have a talent modifier to sta or hp like locks have then change the value accordingly)

Intellect: 100

Spelldamage: 110 (damage is most important as a shadow priest for a disc priest i would have used 80 or so)

Spirit: 15 (probably 25 for disc where you get in combat mana regen from spirit, more if you have a spelldamage increase from spirit like a balance druid or lock)

Mana regen: 15-25

Crit rating: 25 (as a balance druid this would be weighted way higher)

Hit rating: 20 (Shadow priests usually have enough hit rating by talents, as a rogue you would probaly weight this way higher)

Just did a weighted search with this numbers and i came up up the following order (all pretty close):

Glowing Brightwood Staff

Kindling Stave

Staff of Jordan

Zum'rah's Vexing Cane

But according to where your focus lies i think all four are viable choices.

As for 1h/Offhand choices, those all look inferior to the staves. Best combination would probably be Hypnotic Blade with Cloud Stone but Hypnotic Blade can't get TBC enchants, don't know about the green "of the" alternatives but i suspect those wouldn't be really better either.

i would say kindling stave is the best. best balance of stats, and SP whereas GBS is just a big stat stick. oh and the best part is that kindling stave is 100% free*

i dont have a 49 priest (was lvling one but im burnt out @ 29 atm, and already have a stable of twinks) but i would take the crit and SP over the stats any day. If in doubt get both, one for when you want some high sta/int and one fore pewpew.

*if you dont have high lvl friends, or cant convince a buddy to make a DK on ur server for some, then you'll have to pay or beg for free BRD runs

best spriest in my battle grp here:

[char=Shadowmoon]Bellygrub[/char]

chest is horde only reward, so use dreamweave vest or even Chan's Imperial Robes.

also for gloves, Atal'ai gloves of the eagle (13 sta/int if perfect, and 9 damage) are superior imo. only lose 3 damage but gain 30hp and 45mp (untalanted and buffed ofc)

Ummmmm, what dagger is this you speak of?

enchanted azerite (sp) felbane dagger. only horde can get these items (choice of staff, 1h sword, or 1h dagger) in the 49 bracket. they are item level 60 so all the enchants work on them.

ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhheeeenanigans!

lol yea. its a gimmicky weapon anyways. zero stats, just useful to get if you're horde and every wanna run with a WotLK enchant for kicks (or executioner)

spriesttttt

awful imo. save the gold and get something i mentioned above

Disc priest imo... >.> And actually robes of insight weren't so bad prior to the spi nerf and just switching them out when they were on CD with something like chan's imperial robes. I saw quite a few disc priests in my bg with them back in the day, especially since you could pop inner focus and then the robes for basically 2 free clutch heals in a row.

stats for disc, prolly hp for sp
