3v3 Tournament Frday Sept. 4th

In an effort to make the bracket more organized and competitive myself and a group of like minded individuals have gotten together to form an events committee.

We will be hosting a weekly 3v3 tournament on Friday's starting Friday Sept. 4th at 9 pm CST


General Rules

The Tournament will be double elimination best of 3 sets; however, if there is a Grand Finals (this were the team from the losers bracket defeats the team from the winners bracket in the first set) it will be best of 5

Each player is only allowed to play on one team

Each team can include up to 4 characters [This allows teams to be able to put someone in as backup or change comps as they see fit, the ability to change comps allows each game to be different and changing comps to be a good thing or a bad but a risk because you never know what the other team is doing also]

Any disconnections after the gates are up will be counted as a loss, a maximum of 5 minutes will be allotted before the team is disqualified

One enchant per weapon slot (in other words no stacking weapon enchants)

No Engineering Trinkets

Comp Rules

You can change specs and team set-up as long as the team falls under these rules

Feral Druids and Brewmaster Monks are banned

All three characters must be a different class

All 3 classes can not be a DPS spec

All three classes can not having healing abilities (at least one class must be a pure DPS class warrior, rogue, mage, hunter or warlock)

Double healer is allowed; however Disc Priest/Resto Shaman is not

Q&A​

Why do we need a <Guild> and <Team Name>?

The <Guild> Banner is used to record your guild's standings and shouldn't change; the <Team Name> and players on it can change from week to week. This should allow guilds flexibility instead of having the same 3 players on a set team each week.

Does that mean All the members of the team have to be from the same guild?

No, but every team has to be registered under a guild name, none of the characters have to be in the guild they are playing under just as long as you're playing under the same guild banner each week.

Can guilds have more then one team?

Yes, there is no limit on how many teams one guild can have. Guilds can change the team rosters from week to week enter as many or as few teams each week and it will have no effect on how the standings or point system is set-up

Do we need to play for a Guild?

No, teams that do not play for a guild will all be recorded under the banner <Free Agent>. This way they will still be recorded and not effect the point system.

Will there be prizes?

Currently there is no prizes for winning weekly; however, depending on how well the tournament goes keeping records weekly will allow a possibility for a single large tournament(using seeding from the weekly event) with prizes.

Because this event will be held weekly we have come up with a system to promote guild competition well not being restrictive to playing the same teams and set-ups each week.

I'll explain more breakdown how each event will be scored

The first thing is EVERY TEAM MUST REGISTER UNDER A GUILD as well as a team name. Team names and rosters can change week to week it is the guild's weekly standings that will be recorded.

To better Explain how the point system works I'm going to show an example of how it goes over a three week period​

Week One has 8 Different Teams from 5 Different Guilds

Banning Enh Shaman has been talked about but put on hold because they are not extremely overpowered like ferals and BMs and also banning enh would only leave shaman with one viable spec to play. There is a rule regarding stacking weapon enchants in place already

With posts going up everyday about how this guild is bad and how this faction needs to pre-made to win, this is the perfect format to see who's really needs to crutch on class stacking pre-mades and consumables

Wow this is a lot of work put onto this, I myself organize events for f2p's as i mostly play vets of f2p's so I just wanna say i appreciate you doing this in case no one else says it because its a lot of work, moztly appreciate the goals behind this of bettering the 29's side of the bracket so they are not just mindless turrets that spam dmg in pvp.

That being said me and some friends are making 29s to play wargames vs other guilds, but we just make them on whatever realm we want, idk if I just sign up with the guild my toon will be in for the team.

Anyways still have to mention it to them.

The idea behind teams having to register under a team and guild name is that teams name and rosters can change from week to week; however the guild banner teams play under won't. This gives guilds and teams more flexibility week to week.

For teams that are made up players from different servers or different guilds will have to play under a guild banner for example, if I was to make a team on my horde Mage I would still register my team under my ally guild. This way my teams progress is tracked even though the twink I'm playing is not in the guild I'm playing under.

As long as teams are not playing under one guild banner one week and a different one the next it really doesn't matter what guild your team is registered under

After thinking awhile about how to allow non-guilded teams in without disrupting the tracking system the solution is all non-guilded teams will play under a single banner (Free Agents). This way your progress will not be tracked but the fact that a team played and scored points will be.
