US 39s and legion comeback

hey everyone,

a handful of friends that I've spoken to are interested in playing 39s come legion. with xpoff and xpon being merged again, getting pops shouldn't be a problem. we would only need more twinks to return to make games fun and competitive. so dust off your 39s! it'd be awesome if we could set up duels and even arenas on the ptr before the pre patch hits as well.

Im definitely looking into this. I spent today updating my 39 for Legion. I'm hoping bg pops are frequent cuz im about to dump 80k into the mask mog on my 39.

are they still basing stats in bgs off of item level of gear? i checked and found a few ideas for BiS if its item level based not sure how much of a bonus.

Its going to be iLvl yeah... and most of the bonuses I've seen other brackets get are extremely minimal, ranging from 1-3% bonus stats...

Does anyone know what's happening to rogues and their use of Sword of Decay? Does slow weapon speed / high top end damage matter in instanced pvp in Legion?

is sword of decay good? its not for my warrior, mallet of zul farak is better. i would think same would be for rogues, but i was able to eventually get a sword of decay for cheap and test it out, doesnt work for warriors thats for sure.

The only reason Sword of Decay is any good atm for rogues is because it provides us with THE slowest 1h sword; giving the highest top end dmg for strong abilities since they are based off of Weapon damage

out of curiosity does the dmg get better when the item scales in a bg? i guess weapon speed doesnt matter for a prot warrior.

I have no idea sadly. I have not been able to test instanced pvp on ptr.

However, my "world" damage is outstanding as Outlaw.
