29 destruction warlock BiS gear & Stats question

Hello my fellow twinks. I've just leveled a human destruction warlock to 29 and am now safely xp-locked.

I haven't played in years and could use some advice.

What's the BiS gear for a 29 destro warlock looking to do BGs only? Are there any names known to the community that I could check out on the armory?

The following is even more confusing to me: what's the right balance between int/mastery/crit given that int increases spell damage, mastery also increases spell dammage, but the fact that the crit dammage of spells such as Chaos Bolt and Shadowburn...

My understanding is the bis gear is likely the dungeon drops from outland dungeons whilst it's lower ilevel it comes with a ton of gem slots to buff up your main stat. Weapon probably still the wf wod gear but may be wrong with that haven't made or geared a toon for a while after the great purge of dragon flight prepatch and beyond

In my opinion there isnt any "100% BiS gear", u are free to mix items to reach some stats caps u want, depending on ur gamestyle, if u're playing alone or with a team, if u want to do PVE, PVP or both, etc, etc...
Considering this, u can pick:
*Main pieces from TBC dungeon (the 3 sockets ones like helm, chest, leggs) - 135 ilvl
*All the others gears are depending on what u're aiming. U can find interesting gears on:
_WOD dungeons (if wfd or wfd + socket upgrade) or outdoor for some specific items (mainly trinkets or rings) - 135 ilvl
_Classic dungeons (some epic weapons or off-hand or specific items like vers helm or mail armor from BRD) - 140 ilvl
_DF dungeons or outdoor for neck (DF necks are the only ones u can add sockets from jewelcrafting) - 130 ilvl
_BFA dungeons or outdoor if u have a socket upgrade - 135 ilvl
_Legion/BFA outdoor bashing mobs for socket upgrade pieces - 141 ilvl
_Questing (really specific, like 3.60 speed 1H weapons) - 130 to 140 ilvl, depending upgrades.

In my opinion, miniiiii 300 SP, 20% vers, 4.5k HP is decent before refining

I forgot lot of little details, but u already can do something really correct with this i think

Depends on what you are going for I guess, you will def want the socket gear from tbc for a good chunk of your slots. For rings it depends on if you want more int or more secondaries. neck will be from dragonflight rares for the triple socket though.

Take a look through the dungeon journal and put something together, personally I would lean more haste because slow casts suck though.

Vers/ mast for Destro u wanna run full sockets tbc gem the gear with int and use mastery off pieces (trinkets, rings, cloak, weapons, anything with 1 socket or less u can replace with a mastery piece)

I’d just recommend copying my mages tbc gear then using vers mast off pieces because my mage has BIS tbc set for cloth but uses haste vers offparts


My lock also has bis talents for every spec below that u can copy
