29 Bracket classes

Is there an OP class in the 29 bracket when it comes to 1v1's?

What class has no chance in 1v1's (if any)?

Its been 2 years since I've played in the 29 bracket and I'm about to move my 19 Undead Rogue to the 29 bracket. (hopefully Drayner can help fund me since I'm stuck on his server. lol. :))

What BC enchantable items do I need to make sure I can get??

I just recently got my Paladin to 27. She is a work in progress. 3rd night in BG's got myself the wrecking ball achievement in a PUG. Having a great time with a class that has good dps and survivability.

how do you fair against rogues? Its gotta be advantage Paladins due to the fact that you have Purify and heals

I do pretty well. I can usually wear them down. Consecrate the ground around you to expose them. Hammer of Justice to stun them in place, pop them with my auto attack, Judgement of command (damage is increased when target is stunned) Then i just melee the rogue to death (if i have a big HP advantage over him at the time) or kite him in a small circle while keeping consecrate and judging him. Also I use retribution aura (a damage shield for all intensive purposes) and i speced into eye for an eye which returns damage on any crits scored against me. If I do get into real trouble I can always bubble and heal, or every 20 minutes I can Lay on Hands myself.

I'm new playing a pally. My main is an 80 Hunter who I have pvp'd with since before battlegrounds existed. I have to say though I'm having a blast in the low level brackets.

hmm.. i have a low level 20 something Paladin who's needs the dust cleaned off. Maybe I should try him at 29. With no slows, how does a Pally do against a kiting class?

Hammer of Justice for stun. I also am spec'd into Pursuit of Justice which grants me plus 15% run speed. (I find this HUGE in WSG) I'll also get a little quicker when I get my faction boots.

I've thought about making a rogue as well like you have. Its all well and good to stealth around and kill stuff, but I'm not a pure melee fan. From what I can tell though Rogues, Shaman & Hunters are pretty OP when twinked out correctly. Ive seen a few warriors as well. Casters are pretty meh, except for the occasional well played warlock.

ret paladins are good against noobs, especially hunters that backpeddal. you might have a problem against smart hunters, though. it's all about chasing your target with that 15% movespeed and hoping for crits. with the right gear they can have high armor and health, making them tanks with giant potential to lay down a huge crit.

enhance shamans are another good 1v1 class, with a high health build they can have consistant melee damage and the ability to frost shock for kiting or catching up. probably the best hunter killer...ghost wolf up to it, frost shock, and start whacking.

rogues are good for 1v1 too but in order to beat hunters you have to LoS the hunter if it is smart. against ret palis it is all about how smart the ret pali is and how well you handle your cooldowns.

disc priests can also be good at 1v1 but it takes time and mana management. not really good at 1v1 in wsg because by the time you killed a smart twink, there has probably already been a cap. better off supporting their team. still, in arena, they are good for 1v1 if you can kite as one well and use dispel properly.

warlocks are good but very vulnerable. against a smart rogue a twink warlock has almost no chance. have to LoS hunters well and use dots, fear, and drain life depending on the situation. all depends on how well you can kite or dps while dotting down your opponent.

i've also seen good fire mages but against a smart healer they have almost no chance. plus hunters can mow them down. better for 2v2.

hunters are overpopulated and you should not roll one. ;)

my 2c about dueling at 29

Hunters can be very mean as Druiddroid said. I have an 80 hunter so I decided to roll something else for my twink. Last night in WSG I saw a hunter buffed to over 3600 hp!!!! Unfortunately for him he didn't have much support and ended up dieing a bunch of times.

well rogues have no chance against warriors in 29

you should make a new rogue and level to 20 , don't ruin your 19 twink. probably you've worked a lot to make that 19 twink and you won't have an advantage if you level it to 29 - no items 19 is better than a 29 (unless trinkets)

a new char can be leveled to 20 in one day or 2...

and when you are level 20 start collecting quest items - see 29 enchant items topic... and when you reach 28-29 you will have all.

The AB boot speed increase doesn't stack with Pursuit of Justice.

BTW, often overlooked: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=20164

Helps a lot against kiting classes and also rogues.

I like 29 because I believe every class can be decent and compete here, while yes some classes are a bit over powered compared to others (Hunter, Ret Paladins, Rogues). All classes can still be useful and hold there own.

imo 39 is the most balanced

I think 29 is the most balanced of course

i don't think so. at 39 huntards lose some power and most rogues don't play near their potential, and imo all classes can compete. at 29 huntards rule the bracket and warriors plain suck.

49+ may seem a bit too burst favorable, but smart movement and anticipation counters that.

wars rock the BGs at 29, man. i got a 29 orc war using CM and 20/0/0 arms and the only time i have to worry about a hunter is when he jumps me while i'm already engaged. otherwise i can charge a hunter unless he decides to send his pet to me and back up, in which case i just hamstring the pet and run away.

skill > class. hunters only have the upper hand if you let them. if you charge them with insignia cd up, that's a dead hunter, no questions. if your experiences differ from this as a hunter you're not playing against good warrs.

warr charges

hamstring

trap

insignia

pet charge

concuss

tank warr with 2k hp + wingclip (better than hamstring)

trap again

kite and win

you're just facing bad hunters. they have a 41 yd range and track humanoids btw so smart ones are difficult to charge.

Incorrect. Pursuit doesnt stack w/other effects.

if is a good hunter you can use your medallion but you will still be trapped in ice or something... you need about 2 medallion to pwn a good hunter

and if you try to run you have 66% to get pwned in the back
