actually, on the subject of twinks' politics, i wonder if there's a difference between the left-right leanings of those that come here to write guides, keep everyone posted on breaking news and provide analysis, and those that come here to epeen and talk smack. or if there's no correlation there to be found.
I'm a libertarian. My friend on here, irlsteven is a liberal.

Just adding a tl:dw video on here that I’ve found.

aye. I can’t speak for everyone here in Texas but with people exiting and moving from democratic states like CA to here. I’m kind of starting to see both democratic and republican video ads now.

in those videos, I literally see democratic videos say biden won in those videos and the same with trump and republican videos.

it’s literally like ... which one is right here with the information? If ya don’t look up the information about it, who’s technically the victor here?

Sort of why I’ve added the 1-2 hr. videos I could find on YT, it was namely the potential of “Deepfakes” being a possible problem in some of those small clip vods.

Big thing to remember about debates, imo, is that no one "wins".

It's just about how people who watch the debate change their perceptions of the candidate, if at all.

There's otherwise zero value to them.

To add to your informal survey: Im a radical leftist (READ MURRAY BOOKCHIN!) and I talk a lot of shit on this forum but I also do make an effort to keep people informed and made a whole (neglected) youtube channel about it. So there's that.

little of both, I guess?

Debate was exactly as expected if not slightly better
Bias Moderator basically doing Bidens job for him and not asking Biden any difficult questions
Biden saying come on man and trying to be edgy with a few jabs
Dodging every single question asked, lying

Trumps sick one liners and talking about his good economy till the China Virus came along

no surprises really asides joe biden actually showed up and didn't seem completely senile
6.5-7/10

nice country btw

still hoping one of them shits themselves on stage ala jerry nadler.
when I said better I meant slightly more tame, was really expecting Joe to be hyped up on Mountain Dew looking for war
low key surprised he didn't swing for Trump

alas, I dont think a couple of effete septuagenarian fancylads from the east coast are ever going to actually swing on each other.

Ye but can you imagine if they did? Like throwing crisps on the pavement.

what if melania trump and michelle obama just together run as independents. That would out dumpster fire this shit.

Hope that Biden and the people in that debate or participated that night didn’t get it neither since the symptoms don’t show up until much later then. We’ll be screwed if that happened to both sides.

Didnt even think about that. 2020 plot has been pretty loose though, Trump catching Covid to kill Biden is really stepping it up a notch.

How do you guys think Trump getting Covid-19 will effect the election?

Will he get some sympathy votes?

He is playing this strong macho character and telling his voters that Biden is an weak old man. If his symptoms are serious and is needing a ventilator to help him breath during the next week, will it make him look weak and lose him voters?

The poll on this thread at least indicates there people on this site smart enough to vote for Trump. Thankful for that lol
Couple of things to think about that poll and as a side-note, I’m just typing this mostly to catalog the information.
  • Pretty much anyone here can use this poll (I know some people on here that’s not from the usa that said trump/biden).
  • People can pretty much make alt accounts to vote on it (inc. multi-boxers).
  • Notice the bottom of the thread (users who have read this thread) that there’s a lot of new accounts in it?
Edit: note, prior to me bumping the thread it was trump ~20-25, biden 1, tba ~2-3, other 3, and not voting ~3-4.

Then during when I’m typing this comment: trump 31, biden 7, tba 4, other 3, and not voting 7

btw: I’m still in tba, just waiting on the 2nd presidential debate to make my final choice.

I don't think people are going to invested enough in this thread to make bot accounts.

Peoples opinions of Trump are more or less baked in at this point. It's part of the benefit/curse of being the incumbent. Biden is pretty well known too, but americans have this stupid idea that politicians will act differently as president than they've acted for 50 years as a senator/VP. So folks are more willing to roll the dice on him.

Which means, what this comes down to is trump getting a solid, predictable 42-45% of the vote, regardless of what he does. The question is will Biden maintain his 50-52% of the vote? And will he get it in the right states (because lol electoral college). Bidens polling average has fluttered a bit more than trumps (though usually in Bidens favor) so at this point, its his election to lose.

Will trump gain sympathy votes? Probably not. Will he lose votes because people realize he's a coddled dandy and not the robust fighter he wants folks to think? Also probably not.

Will Biden lose votes as people see the election as less dire because Trump could die at any minute? Sure. Or because the GOP just lost the majority needed to ram through Amy Barret before the election? Sure. I'd watch his polling averages more than Trumps.
