Id be interested in what international news is saying that makes you believe this. All polls are pointing at an embarrassingly large blowout.
I don't trust polls, they were wrong about brexit, wrong about trump 2016 and so many other things even going back before that.

As you saw when Clinton ran - none of those polls matter.

I mean sure, but the idea that 2016 was more of a glitch than a new paradigm has been born out by polling being pretty damn accurate in 2018 and special elections since then.

Explain glitch or what you mean by it? As far as paradigm - it's the same polling method that's always been used. It's like the stupid ass fox news "approval rating". I don't think the voting system will ever change. There are a lot of good changes that can be made and messed with but new polling methods is not going to work. In fact due to covid19 - the mailing ballot system? Yeah that's going to start a revolution. No one will ever believe that to be legit. Hence a buddy of mine that's lived in Korea for the last 18 years called me the other day and said he received a ballot for a country he doesn't even live in anymore. In fact gave up his citizenship to live there forever. I think when you start dabbling into changes like that you're asking for a lot more trouble than you are ready to take accountability for...

I think Bill Burr explains it perfectly

The only people actually participating in these shitty polls are the same radical democrats

ah yes, the invaluable insight from youtube comedians.

That the polls were mostly wrong. I think you chalk that up to a "sometimes polls miss" and not a "all of polling is now wrong" thing. Because polls do sometimes miss and they missed pretty big in 2016. But since then, theyve been more or less spot on. through the primary, through special elections, through midterms, theyve pretty much called it. so other than being wary of another big miss, all signs point to a pretty impressive route. But they, they could miss again. But at this stage, even if they miss by as large of a margin as they missed in 2016, Biden still wins. They would have to be horrifically wrong at this point.

Im too lazy to quote people and most people here arent going to change their mind anyway so why bother really trying here.

First off love bringing up Canadian Kermit, he is just a perfect representation of neet gamers and is also just either completely wrong on anything on the left or purposely making it look a bad way. I also dislike this removal of "moral" issues from the left, first off gay marriage isnt a moral issue its a bigotry issue same with most other "moral" issues today its just bigotry. On the issue of polls they only estimate votes, the 2016 polls were accurate if you look at votes but America is dumb as uses an electoral college because we cant ever adjust anything in this country because the founders were gods even though they created the college in order to keep slavery around. And mail in ballots are fine the only people angry about them are idiots, like 4 states already did full mailed ballots and there hasnt been issues.

bottom line a community of gamers leans right, who could have guessed. Viva la revolución just give me my spot for my queer anarchy commune after.

I always love when people bring him up as some defense of western capitalism like he didnt watch his career end in real time when he sat down to "debate" with Zizek and just got bodied.

[ ... ]

What I believe is that people work too hard and are paid too little and have too little say in their workplaces and to me, the solution is to turn capital over to the workers and eliminate the entire capitalist class that does nothing but suck up and hoard the value generated by *your* work while cheating on their taxes almost as much as they do their spouses. We should redesign society now that we have the technology, so that we can produce what we need, equitably distribute the surplus and ultimately work less and spend more time enjoying life. Why should someone else be getting rich off my hard work when we could be using the value and resources generated by our work to advance all of us?

I get the impression folks think we want to turn the world into Oberlin College and really, Im just aiming for Rojava.
That'll happen on Undecimber the 32nd.

sir, bill burr is not a "youtube comedian"... recent circumstances notwithstanding.
but, yes. don't depend on self-absorbed performers to have an accurate account of things outside of their craft.

well good luck extirpating greed then :^]

well the thing is just, all of these issues are ultimatively caused by greed

and greed is something that evolutionary, has made a lot of sense until maybe about a century ago?
the way i see it, all evolutionary species/lifeform will eventually hit the greed wall and wipe themselves out in one form or another because evolution favors the most greedy lifeforms and in general it's also a really useful trait until it suddently isn't while there simply isnt enough time for evolution to fix this mistake, which is why we have the fermi paradox et al

but yeah.

... the 1st vice-presidential debate is so far is a mature version of the 1st presidential debate. still as bad as that debate but a mature one nevertheless.

btw, a tl:dr make it looks like 2 gals vs. 1 cup.

It's more apt to say: Your votes for President don't really matter.

Polls: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natio..._the_2016_United_States_presidential_election
Results: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_United_States_presidential_election#Electoral_results

Half-brained people sit around saying that polling isn't accurate or some shit. Statisticians aren't idiots. It's the electoral college that decides who is president, not the people
