2014 Twink Cup $1500 Prize Pool

I was merely taking the word of someone who frequents this site. I no longer do.

So that accounts to ''everyone''?

#logic

What thread? Oh, probably some random thread made by an anonymous nothing, trying to get his 15 minutes. This site has really turned into a cesspool, filled with delusional tryhards and insufferable "trolls" such as yourself.
-Idiote

I'm not sure if your trying to be funny here, but that sounds like an accurate description of yourself.

The site is a cesspool? You and Mocha seem to exaggerate and make everything so damn dramatic. Feels like I'm watching a run of Desperate Housewives.

What part about "taking the word of someone who frequents this site" did you not get?

You act as if I haven't ran the show since I began trolling here. This site has gotten significantly worse, with annoying and unfunny threads/posts pouring in, from "trolls", dullards, and the like. If you cannot see that...well nvm you're Agonist, there's no helping you.

You watch Desperate Housewives.

Arguing with an ignoramus is very tiresome, so with that, I'll let you have the last word.

That part where it accounts to ''everyone''. What you not getting there?

Doesn't even matter whom you took your bloody info from. You should never make bold statements like ''everyone'' unless you actually know it's everyone.

You ran the show? Please enlighten me on that. Here we go the dramatic sentences again....god you sound like a rambling pre teen, get over yourself. What are these threads and posts? I have not a single clue whom or what you're bloody referring to, unless you count yourself and Mocha, whom fit your description clearly.

and yes, this site has gotten significantly worse ever since people like Mocha have taken moderation charge. Don't need to explain that for the 14th time.

You watch Desperate Housewives.

Who doesn't?

Well, you do seem to ignite the arguments... and prove...not to sure what you try to accomplish.

edit: Nice to know Mocha has your back. You two drama Queens are a good match.

If you're going to reference me at least create an @Mention so I can be notified.
Out of respect I do the same on rare occasion that I do mention you.

I have no reason to ever touch an account as long as a user can abide by the CoC whilst being informative and respectful. As I've told you numerous times, I don't care for personal vendettas, we're all fans of the same video game and we're all members of the same community. It's a pretty black and white CoC.

I thought you gave up on the trolling lifestyle last time around?

See the difference between our statements is I actually say your name where you use stupid phrases like ''How many of these "elitist" players who are so "skilled" that they "run" the community have we seen tonight?'' then say you are referring to something Saxxon said which utter garbage. In an obvious case, I don't see why I should pay this courtesy.

It can't believe you actually said the CoC is black and white. Well it may be black and white, but certainty not when in the hands of people like you. The amount of bloody threads created on the issue of moderation on this site...

Sort of like what everyone did to your premade rule changing thread?

Funny thing here is Mocha doesn't even abide by his own CoC...

List could go on for days. But I mean you have never I accepted any of it, so I don't know why I bother.

Calling you out is not trolling. Well, second that, it might be by your standards.

If I do not @Mention you I am not referring to you. I am not particularly concerned with you nor bothered and therefore when I do post in response to you or in reference to you, I @Mention you.

The second comment was falsified.

Date: July 25th-27th

First place in the WSG tournament: $1200
Second place in the WSG tournament: $200
First place in the arena tournament: $100

The event will consist of two double elimination tournaments, a 3v3 arena tournament and a 10v10 WSG tournament. Teams will consist of 10-13 players. All teams must choose a leader to represent their team. Players can be subbed in between games only in the WSG tournament. Players must have been included in the roster submitted by their team in order to be subbed in. At least one player from each team must be on Bleeding Hollow. All games must be played using wargames. Each team will send forth 3 members to participate in the arena tournament. Arena maps must be chosen randomly. Seeding for the WSG tournament will be determined by your team's performance in the arena tournament. Seeding for the arena tournament will be determined by when your team submitted their roster. First to submit will receive first seed, last to submit will receive last seed. Your team's seed determines who your team plays and who receives a bye if there is one. The highest seeded team plays the lowest seeded team first, second highest plays second lowest, etc. If there is a bye it will go to the highest seeded team that is eligible to receive it. Matches in both tournaments will be bo3 until the semi-finals. Matches in the semi-finals will be bo5. The finals will be bo7. The team from the loser's bracket will start 1 game down in the finals. Both team leaders must tell me who wins each match, if there is a dispute it will be settled by screenshots. Each team must submit their full roster by July 14th. Rosters can be changed if submitted before July 14th, but each change will reset your seed. Please submit a team name with your roster. At least 4 teams must have submitted their full roster by July 14th for this tournament to happen. All money will be payed through paypal. You can choose to be payed in whatever currency you wish but the $1500 prize pool is in Canadian dollars.

Team Comp Rules for WSG: No more than two of the same class. No more than one boomkin. No more than 2 stealthies, including druids. No more than 3 healing specs. These rules apply only to the fielded comp, ie. you can have 5 hunters in your 13 man roster but only 2 can be playing in each game.

Team Comp Rules for 3v3 Tournament: No more than two of the same class. No more than 1 healing spec. No more than 2 classes with healing spells. No more than one stealthy, including druids.

All rules are subject to change until the roster submission deadline. Substitutes may be allowed after the roster submission deadline if there are extenuating circumstances. If anything is unclear ask for clarification and it will be added to the thread. If you think you will be able to field a team but you aren't yet able or willing to submit a roster please declare your intention to form a team and submit the name of your potential team.

Couple quick questions:

1. Is that $1500 prize pool split between both the 3s and the WSG events? Or does someone have to win both to get the 1st place prize?

2. Does 'healing spec' mean actual healers? Or does it include classes with healing buttons in their DPS spec?

3. Why don't you have a 1 class limit instead of 2? Double hunter, double rogue, double ele sham, ect, are all OP. It would make more sense to force each 10s team to have 1 of each class and prevent each 3s team from double class stacking.

$100 goes to the winning 3s team, $1200 goes to the winning wsg team, $200 goes to the second place wsg team. I'll probably leave it up to the team on how they want to distribute the money. Some teams might want to just attach a 3 man arena team without playing them in the wsg tournament, some might want to limit their team to 10 players total and use 3 of these players in the arena tournament, some might want to play all 13 players in the wsg tournament. I agree with Drugs that the prize distribution seems imbalanced for teams that intend to use the first method. I could remove the second place prize and add it to the arena prize or lower the 1st place wsg prize by $200 and add it to the arena prize for a more even split. If a mod wants to edit the OP to include a poll on what distribution people would rather see I'll go with the one that has the most votes by July 14th.

Healing spec as in resto, holy, disc, mw.

I agree that a 1 class limit is probably better for 3s. Having 2 of the same class isn't game breaking in wsg and it allows for more variety in team compositions.

It IS game breaking when you have 3 different classes taking up all 6 DPS spots. Double ele, double hunter, double rogue, ect. Limiting 1 class per team forces them to use a more balanced comp.

Forbidding any class stacking is retarded.

It will force every single team to field the exact same class setup (one of each class), and thus evoke the vanilla syndrome (forcing some classes into certain roles).

Forbidding spec stack (but allowing a class stack) would be more reasonable.

Let me point something out to you.

If both teams have the exact same gear, have the exact same class composition, what are the remaining variables?

Skill and cooperation.

I'm in favor of both teams having the same class comp. One less thing to crutch on or blame a loss on.

I like the class limit TBH. Makes other things more viable, and at the same time forces a team to make decisions. With teams running 4 healers now, and 5 healers in the bracket (Resto Druid, Resto Shammy, Holy/Disc Priest, Holy Paladin, Mistweaver Monk), a limit of 1 class/team will bring up several decisions for team leaders. Most teams will run Holy Pally and Disc Priest, as the alternative specs for those classes are not all that promising. However, for the last two healers, what are you going to give up? The Boomkin? The Ele Sham? The Brewmaster Monk? Two of those three specs are going to have to go if you want to run 4 healers, so this will be interesting. Also, the one class limit keeps two survival hunters and two rogues from opening on the same target and watching it tip over. If the damage is too weak with only one of each class, the # of heals could be cut back to three, thus using the single class rule to counter the burst, instead of increasing the number of heals. Just my $0.02

TL;DR Single class limit is promising, will reduce burst in bracket due to removing class stacking. Instead of fighting fire with fire ( Problem: burst damage; Solution: burstier heals) we should fight fire with water (Problem: burst damage; Solution: class limit = less dmg, still 3 heals)
