Knightfall
Veteran
Good afternoon everyone,
I wanted to request some advice from the veteran community here for some basic and/or advanced strategies for flag carrying in 19s. Since my return to the community I've been making a solid effort to give every role I can a solid shot, and proper FCing has been on my list for quite some time.
Now, with the re-separation of XPoffers into their own queues, PuG games are much more enjoyable / better practice than they used to be and now more than ever I would like to push to become a solid runner so I can fill yet another role when needed for Wargames. I've already had a good look into the guides, but I didn't find a dedicated runners guide so I figured I'd ask my friends here. Any advice you all can offer would be generously received and acknowledged. I will be running on my Horde and Alliance druids: Cowboyboots and Divalla.
What I know so far:
-Have observed some excellent runs / strats in games from Pizza, Ripduck, Mvq, Letto, and others.
-Have FCed a handful of times on my druids pre-2nd separation in resto (primary FC spec).
-Limited practice in PuG XPoff/XPon games, which is not a good representation of competitive games at all.
-Scroll clicking is as useful as it always has been for flag clicks.
-Avoid pickup without Dash. Sometimes this is unavoidable.
-Stay within LoS for heals, but do not stand directly next to healers in case of enemy multi CC (Psychic Scream, War Stomp, etc).
-Always refresh HotS when safe.
What I would specifically like more info on:
-Preferred talents depending on team comp / meta (Have been using Prosperity).
-Midfield positioning when running or holding with team.
-Roof hover timing in regards to having to sneak a solo run out of enemy base.
-Tips/tricks for sneaking in self heals (aside from fading the kick).
-New legal jumps for Wargames beneficial to FCs.
-Recommended defensive positioning when base hovering (with / without pocket healer).
-New FC set goals with the recent loot changes.
Anything helps, thank you in advance community!
-Knight.
