You do lose it of you die in bg. I hate the int buff -_- It is a massive advantage in bg for horde as dominant as it can be on a mage, a balance druid is even worse really hard to kill and melts most of the pug non twinks just w insta cast and dots.

Nice necro, and no, it's long been nerfed. And thank fuck for that. This buff wasn't exclusive to mages. Boomkins ran around with this shit as well as you can imagine...
