Anyone else hyped about these new raid items with built in abilities that are not zone specific?

As a clothie there are boots, gloves and a staff that all give heals and secondary stat increases.

Not to mention the new punchcard trinkets especially the channeling ability punchcard that I’m told is quite OP for a finisher in pvp when ppl try to kite around corner to los and heal.

All this, and we still have more content to come and one last raid.

Even though we might get azerite abilities taken away and the new heart of Azeroth moves, does anyone see potential in this?

Crucible of storms gear and also the items off Azshara and also the agility axe from behemoth with special effects are definitely very interesting, we will have to see if a level squish effects the items much if they decide to do it next xpak. Of note is the ease of farming boes this xpansion so far too... you can get capes/belts/bracers/gloves/boots from BoD and EternalPalace without needing to kill a boss (trash resettable 10times an hour on mythic)

It's called gearing a twink for the next xpac. The level boost will be 120 instead of 110. That means you come during the last few patches and gear up in anticipation of the next xpac. Doing this allows people to have things such as 90 twinks with fully upgraded legendary cloaks for example. Now that we're done with semantics, perhaps the rest can have a discussion without being derailed.

Tbh, even though I only leveled to 120 to setup for twinking in xpack, kinda liking the content. Finally got to do mechagon and EP for my first time last night. Both quality instances. I think I’m going to enjoy the extra gearing needed in xpack, as I did this one for 110 twink. I now fully understand those people who claim retain isn’t dead, blizzard is still putting out quality raids and dungeons

There are pieces from mythic +s that have extra abilities on it, if titanforged there is a chance that it will be better than some raid pieces of next content if they have no proc pieces for that slot. For example, there is cloak where if you stand still for like 5 seconds, you get like 400 speed, as well as many other examples

So it may not be good with the current highest IL titanforged from +10 ATM, however by the time final content happens, and the mythic +10 pieces are only 10-15 IL lower than highest IL raid piece, the extra ability they have could/should outweigh it.

Also a side note, even though EP is the 2nd last raid of xpack, doesn’t mean it might not have some BIS pieces. Such as Lady’s cloth boots that give 1k haste when mythic Titanforged. That’s going to be hard to beat even with new raids +20-30 or so Item levels.
