[10-19] Official Cataclysm Data

Now that the NDA is lifted I feel it's about time we had one nice post with everything about cataclysm twinks on it. I'm frantically working on getting this post updated so please bare with me here, there this is lots to cover!



This guide has been broken into individual segments to prevent strain on the server.

Almost every spell will only have ONE rank that will scale with your character level.

Wow nice update. comment moved to mage section nice updates here looks the OP classes are getting balanced slightly and the underpowered classes are getting a little love.
 
Added Paladin before I head to work. Poor Paladins are loosing hof, they look a lot less appealing now. If mages do get evocation at 12 and they can use the glyph of evocation, it's gonna be hawt!
 
6 sec stun a fast healing spell and a monster nuke. looks like they'll be fine.
 
Inc moar downies, than usual with all the Rets already, playing Pally.



Holy Pallies lost like, all their support spells; bit sad. But meh, adapt+play, simples.

remember there won't be spell ranks anymore and spell damage will scale with level. Stuns may or may not fall into this scaling category, look what happened with rogue sprints or speed while stealthed.

stuns should not scale with level, a polymorph at lvl 80 is the same at level 19 as are many other mechanics like fears and sleeps. Hammer of justice used to have multiple ranks but ranks are being removed. Just saying that you could make a good argument that hammer of justice will stun for 6 seconds at level 19 now. damage component spells obviously should scale with level but there is no reason that this 1 ability should be shorter at 19 than at lvl 80 doesn't make sense hopefully this is a fix from blizzard.
 
Wow, some cool changes. Seems like they are taking 10-19 balance into account finally. Mages get the much needed Blink. Paladins get Flash Heal to separate them as a good healing class.



Rogues still need some work and hunters could take a bit more of a nerf, but overall, I am very happy with the changes so far. I look forward to playing around with some new classes when these changes hit. Will probably make a mage in the meantime =)

Would be nice to see a wingclip nerf. Seems like hunters won't be pwning damage as much even with people on them, but they aren't going to be much easier to kill 1v1 as a melee class. I like the changes though. I would love to see rogues get a stun of some sort, or possibly a slow that uses combo points?

But I disagree that hunters are at the same level as rogues now.

right now wingclip costs no focus which is why it is still OP but if this small error gets fixed it surely won't be spammable.



On another note this biggest change I see to the bracket if it goes through is



priest lose dispel

warriors lose shield bash, disarm and revenge?

hunters lose cheetah, multi shot, serpent sting

paladins lose HoF and blessing of might



mages will be higher up on the FC list with blink and either worgen sprint or goblin jump
