I just put on 122 sp on ptr and with 3/3 in renew it heals for 320(64 per tick, 5 ticks), with the glyph of renew it would still be 320, but 80 per tick, for 4 ticks.

It would be doing 64 a tick so 320 in total, so umm you're losing 70 healing from each renew.

Well I have 31%+ migration with it on and a 70a cloak enchant(905-909 armor), it's about 4% migration and 150-160 additional armor.

I think he underexaggerated the difference his renews would do, but yeah regardless he still meant 30 health. Also Glyph of inner fire is where it's at.
