I got it deleveled back to normal 150, took me few tickets to explain them it's not working as intended. But I guess GMs are tired after delivering newspapers in the morning and pizzas during the day, so they can't be very focused doing GM job in the evening. That's why they make mistakes.

Tactic for gnomes to get it alone. Worked on mine: Oioioio :) When chest is not spawned, die at the exact spot where it spawns, run back as a ghost and log out there. Go on another random character in arena to see when the chest spawns. When it's down, log on your gnome, do not move...

Something like that, but I never had 450 profession as I made this twink few days ago (after 3.1). But you're close on that one, it required GM assistance :)
