If you are a tauren, you can use the hawkeye rifle from the mulgore quest chain, I think for killing the black kodo. Beyond that, I'm not sure if there are any other black ranged weapons.

Meh, in the end, GY farming will happen. If it starts happening to me, I just slip away and avoid the other team. As long as they aren't getting kills, they are wasting their own time.

I've been farming deadmines a lot for a piece of transmog gear. Not working out so well. >.<

I don't see too many 24s on Aerie Peak, at most I see 5 or 6 per match, and that's both teams combined.
