The T3 epics like Skullflame no longer appear to drop (no confirmed drop source) below level 21. Level 17 farming and looting has been tested to death throughout the expansion. If you want to try something new, use level 18 looters in ZF.

You could do Strat on a 17/18 Pala but some of the mobs there scale to 19/20/21 - so if you loot those they will drop level 21 epic weapons. You're better off farming a 15+ classic dungeon like ZF if you specifically want a shield to scale 18/i27. That said, they are definitely not worth 700k...

The chests in Hellfire, Terokkar and Zangarmarsh are 15+ iirc. In the higher zones they are 25+ but some can still be opened by 20s.

I got a few while farming TBC chests in Zangarmarsh, Hellfire & Terokkar. Level 20 looters will give you i27. Here is some of the classic items I looted. Good luck!

Patterns seem to be the most common epics. I am now up to 1711 total TBC dungeon runs: #1711 - 1483 Sethekk runs - 1140 Level 18 Looters runs. A few more pieces but a weapon still hasn't been seen: I have been slacking the last few weeks with farming but I'm certain its just a matter of time...

I'm fairly certain you can still farm Classic Shields to this ilvl. Same as the blue ones from later expansions. These shields drop in places like Silithus iirc.

For epics Freezing Band (150-250k~) and Boomstick (350-750k~) are probably the only two worth something.

Yes - you get instantly ported out the zone.
