6.2 BOAs

Mocha

Legendary
I'm sure this is probably old information. Regardless, I wasn't particularly aware of what the stats would be on the new BOAs.

Armor - Items - World of Warcraft

Touch of the Void looks extremely interesting although I was doubting whether or not this would actually make it live. But given it being a garrison reward and how enthusiastic Blizzard is about keeping us isolated in our Garrisons, this new trinket is definitely more than just a possibility.

+6 Stamina rings +4 Primary stat +5 Crit looks pretty sexy beastmode of a FC ring (pretty useless for max ap / sp sets like people are running currently. Would be great for if things go more towards stam / crit than pure top end stacking). Strange though how DPR has +5 stam and these all have +6. I'm curious as to if these rings would be scaled down to +5 to match DPR + Blood Ring + other rings scaled at 19. Regardless, with these rings there would virtually be 0 use for DPR (as there already basically is currently anyways)

Regardless, the trinkets scale on WoWhead and they look extremely, extremely powerful given their on use abilities + passive versatility boots alone. BOA Rings which I know many of you have seen... I feel probably will make it live. I do find it quite peculiar that they scrapped the original set matching rings from WOTLK. Seeing their source it makes sense why they created completely new BOA rings instead of using the ones they created in WOTLK. Off topic but given the huge enthusiasm for the naval garrison shipyard + missions, the legendary Seas expansion inc? I personally hate the item icons for these items. Regardless, the stats are all scaling and working on WoWhead. (Caster ring scaling at 19 is broken)

Not much point in mentioning Hpally boas because like what is Hpally? Kidding. Interesting stat makeup for these new Hpally BOAs though.

Cheers,
Mocha

(hope this isn't all redundant nonsense)

I am praying they scratch these garrison looms, I DONT WANT TO BUY WoD!

On the other hand faction changing for 2x argas wont be necessary anymore

Honestly I don't mind.
There will always be people saying how they hate heirlooms, no matter how hard or easy they are to get. I mean if they were blues with the same stats in a new dungeon would people complain? Probably not.

I see it as a new tier. More content. If you don't like it, oh well :)

I especially like how they're adding more variety in our trinkets.

This is spectacular news. Now I don't need to faction my Nelf Druid and Hpalls get a slight buff.

soon every slot will be filled with boas!

I have 0 issue with BOAs. I did back when we had 1200 HP and I'd throw a glad on my boa shoulders and we were all sitting at 1700 hp.

But these days BOAs just have a different rarity color. 19s require very little to 0 BOE gear nowadays anyways and it makes up for the thousands of pieces of expensive boe gear that we gave out for free back in the day! Now we can create new toons and not have to worry about "Crap I gave my _______s away back in 2007."

I remember needing to farm up 4 blackened defias chests + 6 cruel barbs on Mocha while trying to run myself on my brother's pally and dying before the VC kill so I didn't ding. I spent so many hours getting those drops. Back then if you just put fiery on any blue weapon you were a god pwner. If you had defias chest and if you were lucky enough to get one CB you were a real twink. It took me months to get to the point where I had replaced my engineering goggles + libram with LFH, all of my defias chests / cruel barbs / now thief's blade was rare instead of green so I had to get some of those too, get all of my quest gear, get all of my meadow rings (tigerx2, monkeyx2, eludingx2) get all of my resistance bands, getting my libram done alone took a lot of work. Don't forget having to get my +AP scouting gear + AP wranglers + monkey wranglers + stamina wranglers, footpads of the fang, venomstrike. So much work back in the day to become a perfect twink.

Some people found this fun and great. Personally I still remember having Mocha all done and finished back when I was level 12 and I remember planning everything out on spreadsheets... it did feel great to have the perfect twink done... however if I then could not be bothered to play my other rogues, hunter, mages, priest, warlock, warrior etc because who has that kind of time.

It was a great journey but I'm so glad that I don't have to do that crap these days in order to make a new twink for the community. Putting in the work when I was 15 once was enough for me. I refused to make new twinks because once I had a perfect twink I knew that I'd be unhappy playing anything else that wasn't perfect.

Anyways (back on topic) it doesn't matter to me if bis / viable gear is blues or heirlooms. I personally miss / would love for it to all be much higher leveled green quest gear because that would prove to be a challenge to complete higher leveled quests again AND twinking to me was about getting higher leveled gear on a low level toon so his stats are through the roof. If high level questing gear were viable and if you didn't want to go through trying to do it on a 19, you could just bring a friend and GG. Back in farming my BOP gear it took weeks to get the right drops and there really were no shortcuts either. I would do between 5-10 runs a day.

You see what I'm saying. IDC what rarity my gear has and I don't see my extensive efforts in the past being wasted as I still have those pieces of gear.

The great thing with BoAs is that you can enchant them with your main and then send them to your twink on any server on any faction. Less "funding" and less "sponsoring" needed. Which equal to less excuses to get started.

The new trinkets are going to be a bitch to get for a bit. Even on back water realms because of cross realm zoning issues. I may try on the first night because of the new tier of raid but after that I may have to enlist in some mercenaries to support me.

i got no issue with the boas. but they way to obtain them. especially the darkmoon faire one.
i think the healing trinket might be better. curious how the void thing will play out?
will it deal good damage, will it slow, or even root?
