Farming? Ups and Downs.

Well, I have noticed alot, and I mean alot of mixed contreversy (however you spell it) on Farming. Yes we can three cap, but wheres the fun for us? wait in the queue to instant cap the enemy flag? Thats boring and a waste of time. All twenty fours farm and dont say you haven't in a battleground. So I personally made this thread to see the opinions of everyone, Your not going to change my theory on this but I love to see what others think.

for me gy camping wastes time.i dont want easy games,i want the hard fought ones (ones that are almost even and Very close).There arent many of those games so the quicker the game can end the better....theres plenty of hks/honor in the next game (hopefully a good game,not and easy one)i do realize that there are premades here and there for that(hard fought games),but Really they arent common in this bracket yet.

True, I semi-agree, but we sometimes have close games. I personally love Battlegrounds by myself and farming unstealthed. Im not fully BIS yet due to outrageous fucking AH prices but soon enough I will be. So far ive seen some pretty chill alliance players and I choose not to kill them. Close games are an adrenaline rush for me. So I usually queue alone.

I was just wondering the opinions of everyone here. Most people are so anal about everything, We are twinked to have fun and of course we are. We do it for Honor and shits and giggles. we arent evil like most people say we are.
 
We are all in it for fun and I like to have fun, so I do what I enjoy doing. Yea some of our gameplay is different. But in the end most twinks are the same, WIN, LOSING ISN'T AN OPTION.
 
oh and i fergoot...(yes thats right i said fergoot !)gy camping in this bracket probly does bother me more than the other brackets i play in (or try to :p) i Almost Always play a healer.For the first time i rolled a FC (which i dont like so much as compared to healing) so....yeah :eek:( i feel totally useless if i cant failcross mid at an attempt at a flag cap.

i have been in bgs with you :p.tho i normally get in with a few friends when they are on.i play 24s as Thetick.
 
i'm against camping because i don't like forcing people ten people to be bored for at least 15 minutes. sure they can /afk, but then they can't Q on that toon for a while. i like to think about the person on the other side of the screen... not in a carebear way, i love a good cheapshot ganking/gy camp on a PvP server (just to imaging his raging) as much as the next guy, but 15+ minutes is douchebaggery imo.

if you're in the same one-sided wsg as I and you want to farm, make sure you grab that flag before i do =)

To take this title literally
Up: You may enjoy it
Up: You prove you're dominant over the other team
Up: Makes 25 minutes go by quicker
Up: As you said max honor/hks
Down: Ruins other teams experience
Down: Known as disrespectful
Down: Easily makes enemies
Holy Crits ideas or impressions of how they view it is obviously different then most people but that is the most down the middle view I could offer. If you care about the other team or the players you wouldn't. If you're in for it yourself and to do what makes you have fun then you would.
 
I haven't seen too much gy camping. One of the most current matches I got into (queued into a losing WSG down 2-0) they were getting camped, they simply needed a good healer. We pushed out of the GY and pushed em back to theres, then they promptly capped.

If you are getting camped as Horde, simply afk out and switch toons and requeue. I don't know how alliance queues are.
 
Way back when this bracket was beginning, alliance like always farmed. I'd heal their asses off because it was almost the same as raid healing imo. Then got on TI and realized how much it was looked down on and stopped.

When I came back to the bracket, I loved seeing how the Horde we had farmed had finally gotten enough honor to outgear me.

Now if I'm on a team that farms, I won't help but I don't try to go for the third flag because that's just asking to be killed. If my team is getting farmed, I don't mind because I just quit rezzing or find a place to chill. The thing I think is very unsportsmanlike is to kill people when they've first joined and haven't even zoned in yet or to hunt down people that are just looking for a place to hide.
 
Farming - I see it as unsportsmanlike akin to kicking a man while he's down :p

However - it's part of the game and not the end of the world. To me it's annoying when my team or their team farms.... however I don't lose sleep over it. Just /afk and queue on a new toon.

I have no issue when the opposing team kills anyone who drops off of the GY - I don't see that as farming - just aggressive gameplay.

The most annoying thing about farming to me is the idiots that continually rez just to be killed in 3 seconds - then do it again and again - even after they are asked to wait to rez as a group.

I think you have to ask yourself why you play. If you play to farm then good for you - there's no right or wrong. I play for competition and GY farming does not seem very competitive. I'd rather 3 cap and move on the next BG hoping for a better opposing team.
