Hello people. Situation?

I've also died multple times in a BG and stayed, and on other occasions left when I am in absolutely no danger of dying. What you're experiencing here is a fundamental attribution error. You're taking your tiny sample of your experiences with me in a BG, personalising it, and assigning meaning to things that have none based on your own experience and what you assume would be the reason you would do something in a similar situation. It's not a lie. You're an idiot. You have no idea why I do what I do.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you ONLY AFK when you die, I'm sure you do it on many more occasions. But the trend is that you clearly don't die very often and the 3 times I've seen you get low on HP you've AFK'd right in front of my very eyes. Me, Shift, Golden, and a few others had a great laugh about it in vent too.

Dont' get me wrong, I'm not trying to attack you (I wouldn't want you to AFK out), it's just hilarious.

I often do suicide runs where I know I'm leaving. Burn CDs. I just try to take out a few before I go. I haven't bothered doing that lately though, I usually just leave if I can tell it's not worth playing. As for WSG, either I'm really bad at not dying, doing so almost 700 times in WSG, or I genuinely don't care about it. In games where my side is working together well, I'm happy to stick around for a few deaths, it really doesn't bother me. Spending time playing with people that play in a completely different way to me isn't something I consider worth my time.

ive also been in a dozen wsgs with you when you afk.

I've probably left more games than I've completed. I have a very low tolerance for anything that deviates from what I consider acceptable.

I have been in BG's as Horde (and a couple on my Alli warrior) where he has stayed after multiple deaths. So while it seems like he may leave upon death, it isn't a requirement.

As Horde though, if I left all games under the same conditions I would only have completed a handful of battlegrounds (rather than several hundred). The only battlegrounds I leave are ones where we are being graveyard camped, or when there are more than 50% hunters with healers scattered in (which is still a good chunk of games tbh).

Enough QQ.

Kale AFK's alot, Who are you to judge him on his reasoning and play style?

Back on topic.

So my positive outlook on the current situation is that it's probably temporary. If not, there's other things to do if it comes down to that.

Camping the right Rare spawn for the right transmog gear works for me, very relaxing and allows for plenty of downtime to read the papers and stuff.

This bracket isn't that bad as long as you have realistic expectations. It definitely isn't anything like the 70s bracket where anyone with 1000 honor or so can get a full suit of BIS PvP armor. It's a free grindfest and you're stuck at the ass end of it. There will be gear disparity and plenty of 24s to ruin your day, but it's not completely devoid of fun.

pvp is bullshit. horde is becoming the new allaince, all there is now is hunters

Hunters aren't always the end of the world lol.

I'd much rather have a team with healers and who actually pay attention to the flags. Of course it took 3-4 of the ally's 8 hunters being really bad for us to win this, but it was fun to stick it to an eyepatch brigade
<

Not really sure what you mean about the horde being the new alliance 0.o At any rate, I find that even tho some games do indeed rather suck, there are enough fun games to make it worth queuing. And hey, if you hate the imbalance you can always premade

ok back on topic.. There are definitely nice even bg's, the horde 24 guild mucka mad boys has dissipated, but there are plenty of fresh 24's to take their place. Reasonably even horde to alliance 24 numbers i find.

And of course you will still run into the occasional bg where you are being steamrolled and farmed, and you can simply afk from those ones.

The proportion of good games you will find is pretty much the same as level 85 pug random battlegrounds imo.

PvP aside for a moment, the new world events, including DMF, but also the forthcoming love and noble festivals, introduce new mounts and pets. I found them interesting and will be doing them as they come up, so it's not all bad. I even had a couple decent matches today, including a close 2-1 game, and an AB, which I haven't seen pop in a while.

After running into an endless stream of 24s tonight, I'm starting to feel more pessimistic about this bracket.

I had one of the best WSG games I've ever had in this bracket today. It ended at 1-1 and there were no hunters on either side. Zero. Both sides had heals and it was a very action packed and strategic game. That is the key to a good game, the lack of CC spam and a couple healers. Of course I also had various almost all 24/hunt/MB/junk etc. etc. etc. That's just the nature of random games though.

i got into a few no hunter games also, and they were super fun. the efc was up to 8 stacks, first time i'd seen that in a while. i think that game ended with 2 caps.

the next game we 3 capped a 7 hunter team in under ten minutes. isn't that ironic?

Last night I watched four horde 24s from from different servers AFK out of WSG at exactly the same time when it was clear they weren't going to get a faceroll win. This leads me to believe that they were using vent or IRC to create premades. There were three or four of them in most of the WSG's I ran last night, most of them from different servers. This might be common knowledge, but I just wanted to put it out there.
