What’s the point of being in a guild as a Vet?

Not knocking the social aspect of being able to chat with people, and I definitely understand how having a guild bank would be nice...

But how do you join dungeons or group for PvP with other Vet guild mates (assuming the guild is for twinks)? Or do you still have to have a subbed player invite the people and then leave the group?

I’ve been mulling over which server I eventually want to land on permanently and that decision was largely going to be based on if I could find an active think guild, but now I’m wondering if it literally even matters or would make sense bothering to find one.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere — I don’t see much about guilds on here.

Stuck at Graveyard was a big one on Alliance when I used to play and I looked up the guild and it showed something like 800+ members, but when I checked the other night there was maybe four people on.

Also, totally unrelated... why do I keep getting error messages on this board of “You must be logged in to do that” like 1/3 of the time when I try to post??? I’m already logged in!

Can't speak for S@GY but most guilds have their peak times where there's like 20 people on at once, and then, obviously, on a Tuesday at 3 in the morning, there are going to be less (little to no, possibly) people online; that's what comes with it being such a niche community.

The reason people join twink guilds is mostly the social aspect. I'm very fond of my guild community and everyone in it is a delight but I am really not interested in talking in the in game communities. Fostering a community and even talking to these people outside of game (Discord servers) makes for friendships that are more than just "queue buddies," which is nice.

Lot of people (myself included) use guilds to network and find regular groups as well (bgs, dungeons, farming, etc.) Most vets have multiple accounts so getting groups going is rarely an issue I would imagine.

There are like, 50 reason I could give you, but they're all very similar and usually loop back the the whole social aspect thing.

I would recommend not using the night of a weekday as the metric for activity within a guild. Unfortunately most people have day jobs.

There arent any *functional* game mechanic benefits to being in a guild but if you're trying to solo play a game built around interaction and group play, you're always going to have a bad time. Just look at people on this forum who insist on solo queing but continually whine about groups.

Ready made group of people who share an interest and who, at any given time, might have a paid account active to drag your ass through dungeons and or group you with friends? That alone is worth it.

Do Vets gain the benefit of Guild Perks when their Sub isn't active? That'd be my 1st guess why you'd want to be in a Guild.
Yes but honestly I forget those are even still in the game until somebody brings them up lol. That's why people join cesspool guilds.
