About These Queue Times...

I seem to recall a bunch of elitist assholes claiming real twinking was back when blizzard separated queues again. I was on a break from twinking when it all went down but I still read this forum. I come back and queue Warsong Gulch and sit in queue for an hour with no pop two nights in a row.
 
I had to abandon my 19s and switch to 20 F2P. Why? Because in 20's it's max 5 min queue until you get a pop. It's the only twink bracket that's still alive after patch 8.1.5.

I'd rather play for free with 5 min queues than pay to play with 1hr+ queues... Simple logic. And I think 20s are more fun than 19s because almost every spec gets a new spell/talent in lvl 20 and we can use mounts.

20 is not a twink bracket you farm lvlers but I understand why you rather wanna play than sit in queue

Most ridiculous argument when that’s Literally what a twink was from vanilla up until late MoP. 9/10 games balance out because twinks are on Both teams not just 1... way it’s always been, wargames and rated BG were a big thing for those of us competive people who twinked.. but to say killing all but 1 or 2 brackets is a good thing is straight insanity no matter what reasoning you want to put with it. You new age twinks are something else.

Also, a lot of us gave up our preferred/gfd/main twinks to come to 20s and brackets that will actually pop, we sacrificed to have a healthy twink community going, maybe you 19s should consider the same.

Twinking differs from person to person. You have people on both sides of the fence. Those who don't mind having a mixed bracket, and those who appreciate twink only brackets. Both come with a trade-off.

Or you could fight for the bracket you like? Set up queue times, get people involved, make discords and announce queues etc. etc. The more popular brackets outside of 20s should have enough people to get pops if the effort is put into it. It's not like 19's haven't had any pops since the bracket separation.

It’s harder said then done^^


My problem is all the twinks who weren’t okay with merged bgs. The logic is just not there for people to want twink only bgs. There has never been a history of reliable que times or wargames for any longer than a few months in any separated time period. They kick themselves in the pants to look cool because they believe in twink v twink. When it’s easier for twink v twink when there is insentives for twinks to log on.

EU 19s is doing good, at least a few days a week we have a good amount of games in the evening. Imo the quality is much better than 20s due to lack of levelers (except for random lvl 14s that join sometimes?), sorta decent balance lately, and consumable use is much much lower. Wish we could get games everyday but atm its decent.

20s is nice if you want quick pops but it's like 3 steps down for me in terms of enjoyability.

Mounts make the games easier, positioning matters less.

Twinks began as a way to smack levelers. It was not until late MoP. The essence of twinking evolved, not suddenly changed, from TBC to WoTLK. It's not new age twinks with this mindset. The new age twinks are the legion / early BFA twinks. I am very happy with the patch and it's why I've resubbed both EU and US.

Twink v twink is easier when there’s a larger player base. Which is without question when ques are merged. Meaning that when it’s easier for twink v twink games, there is more incentives for twinks to play.

Imagine being happy that you can no longer que 95% of any time at 19 and never get any pops in any other bracket. And it's not like there weren't competitive games with the brackets merged... pizza was annoying as hell but going against him and his premades made for intense games.

Jojodancer, first off, I like your style and your honesty. Between blizziod and the suck-ups they've managed to totally #%!k-up and ruin the lvl 19 bracket bgs. Historically, for me, I've quit WoW several times in the past due to, "poor blizziod game changes". Lvl 19, bgs has been my only interest in WoW since 05'. Time to quit WoW once again!
 
The bg queues died when Blizzard made so that you couldn't queue with lvlers, and now you gotta queue up between 19.00-00.00 in hope to get pops....some days there is 0 pops for the whole day and that's fucking retarded tbh.
