metas arent decided by evidence, theyre decided based on the opinions of people lmao
for example in endgame, you'll find thousands of people calling a class good or meta, whilst other thousands will call it shit. Because everyone is different and the playstyles differ. As long as this conflict exists, it will remain subjective.
meta stands for; most effective tactics available.
you dont see all the football teams using the same tactic xD because one team thinks 1 tactic is the "most effective tactic available", whilst the other team uses another tactic that they find the "meta".

By trying out the different tactics, and see what works for them. Some work better for one person whilst other tactics work better for other people.

thats not evidence, its literally the most subjective thing in the world. Jake for example will say after he tried a tactic "this is good", while Pete says "I didn't like it, it's shit". Catch my drift? Subjective

2) Using consumables in pugs is up to everyone’s own discretion

Yall are complaining about consumables, but if we keep getting rbgs with 5+ healers.... Im gonna start using arcane bombs like candy.

Right but one of those will be objectively better 9 times out of 10

Either Pete or Jake is wrong, generally when a tactic is new there will be different opinions on it but once it is verified through repetition people will unanimously agree that either it is objectively optimal or suboptimal
