EU+US 409 Int Trinket VS 359 Str+Mastery Trinket

Used a low level character, as you said a ilvl30 would do more than a ilvl20 with same stats. But thats not true. Tested on an 80 (only tested in hc tho) and it worked.

and youre incorrect, because this is an insane exception since the game now caters to an ilvl ceiling in those 70-79 dungeons far lower than the 308s and 283s you have now. as of 7.3.5 with the scaleing normal toons will not be able to reach an ilvl high enough to break the ceiling in normals since they scale now from 60-80 for these brackets in particular. 79 is a unique exception only because your old ilvl gear being so vastly superior to the ceiling, those armor pieces are the only way an exception to the rule exists. 70-77 level toons will not see an ilvl increas in normal dungeons because they cannot reach the ilvl required. does that help you more?

also hes talking about the x10 levels, so your 79 comcept isn't even relevent in this discussion, who pves at 79 lol

Not incorrect, unless you have a Blizzard source to contradict their previous statements and my testing?

My 78 was an example, the same holds true for a L80 twink (which actually got at least one upgrade option since 7.3.5, the 440 pants)... which you'd know, if you looked at the formulas I linked too.

You also don't appear to understand what this all actually does... you say:

Code:
70-77 level toons will not see an ilvl increas in normal dungeons because they cannot reach the ilvl required. does that help you more?

THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO.

Only twinks get this because they're significantly breaking the anticipated ilevel for their clevel bracket... Just read the damn formula.

(BTW, level 77 twinks can exist with legacy greens, but who would have stopped at 77 when 78 gave you 308s instead of 272s).

It is true for the low level character, but its more of an exaggerated example because the increase is probably 0.000000001% or something crazy minuscule.

70-77 can be twinks as well. So this doesn’t hold true to “all twinks” and 80 twinks again are an exception I forgot to mention with rediculously high Ilvl access, and I do k ow about the 440, but you were talking about 78-79 so I went off in a tangent. I also don’t care about 81+ so im not interested in anything regarding them

Let me rephrase what I'm saying since you still don't understand. This only works for raids and heroics. Normal dungeons are no longer affected as of 7.3.5

Actually, TBC and Wotlk normal dungeons are still affected by ilvl. I currently boost people in that content, pulling the entire instance and taking close to zero damage, then pulling 30k-ish dps.

The only practical use I've found for running random Wotlk & TBC dungeons have been because of the weekly rep and to boost people for gold.

are you talking about on your 70 or 80? because 80 makes sense, youre ilvl is well above the threshhold

I feel like I'm arguing with a brick wall.

Of course it doesn't hold true for all twinks, only twinks that have significantly higher ilevel than their clevel bracket expects... which the formula clearly states.

i figured, the guy brought up 70 is all why i was asking, i get the thread xD

I only brought up 78-79 as an example of the formula, and I clearly said it was just an example that I had tested on...
