EU+US Battlegrounds in Legion

So how are we enjoying battlegrounds so far?

There seem to be some problems with characters not scaling down at the moment (level 70s have a lot of misses on level 76+).

Rest is fun, finally balanced BG's in which only the overpowered classes can rek.

Why would they scale down when scaling was removed from BGs? A 79 is a 79 in the BG while your just a 70. Obviously your going to miss when a player is X levels higher.

Is you srs? You all scale to the exact same stats, as intended, but you can't hit higher levels, as not intended.

No you dont scale to the same ilvl.. the scaled ilvl you get when you enter a battleground is based on YOUR average ilvl.

That has nothing to do with that you miss level 76+.

Apart from that no one I've seen so far had a high enough item lvl to make a difference.

I'm not going to bother explain how hit rating work versus players..

I'm going to bother explaining you that Blizzard chose to introduce scaling into battlegrounds so that people from the beginning of bracket could hit people at the higher ends of the bracket.

To again break battlegrounds and make twinks stronger seems like a thing Blizzard wouldn't do. Hit rating hasn't existed in instanced PvP for an entire expansion, would suprise me that they brought something back they literally removed from the game.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about how we don't scale up to lvl79 anymore, as opposed to how it's been since very early in WoD for arenas, and somewhere in MoP for BGs iirc. Very early in WoD, we also did not scale to the highest level, while everything else did scale, and they fixed it in a couple of weeks.

Has it not been public knowledge that ilvl is the only thing getting scaled up in legion while your lvl remains the same?

What Fx mentioned is basically what's happening, here's what happened:

I enter a BG, I'm level 70, I scale to the same stats as everyone else in my raid group (even level 79s), excluding people who might have an incredible high ilvl (which I have not seen). Then I start playing the BG, run into a level 77 and I'm missing him over and over again.

Is u rly srs tho Nodoka?

Just because people knew doesn't mean people agreed?

Scaling up to the highest level in the bracket was really nice to even the playing field and Idk why they'd go backwards on that design.

I would have assumed that you guys would be happy to even be able to play BGs

Personally, I don't give a shit for BGs. But it raises overall activity so sure, w/e.

The problem is that casters are basically not viable by virtue of being a caster. You'll miss half your spells simply because you chose a caster. Does that seem fair to you?

It's the first BG I've done in a year or four, 'cause I don't really like PvP, did want to try out Survival and it was kind of fun.

Doesn't make it any more unbelievable that they basically empower twinks again to faceroll new players (19 and 29 is going to be popular as hell!). It's just ridiculous that they break something which was just "fixed".

there are far better alternatives to try out a spec if you dont like pvp.

are 70s fun?
